I was really looking forward to seeing the return of Jean but I thought the plot was a bit lame so I was a bit disappointed. Halle Berry was good but from the moment they killed off the 2 main characters I was a bit disappointed after that. Wolverine still remains my ultimate X-Man movie character as he's just phwoarr but for me it wasn't as good as the second.
Yeah Da Vinci was good. Read the book on holiday in Tahiti (after the NZ trip) but thought the book had a really corny romantic ending that I didn't think was needed. I thought the film treated this much better.
I can't wait for the man Sparrow to don those boots again - phwoarr! |

I remember reading in the books that he was a chaser (think it was one of the earlier books) and thinking it was strange that the shield in the film said he was a seeker.
There was definitely a conflict of info somewhere. Like you say though if he was actually a chaser then it wouldn't make sense for him to be playing with the snitch unless he changed to seeker later. |

I really liked the first movie when I saw it at the cinema because at that point I had not read the books, but then after watching the first I read them all up to and including GoF.
I then watched CoS but as I disliked the book I thought the film was better.
Then oh my god thought the PoA film was excellent although I was annoyed they changed bits from the book. I couldn't wait for GoF as it was my favourite, but was disappointed when I saw it, but now I've grown to like it.
I now can't wait for OOTP but this time I'm not going to make the mistake of hunting out movie scenes, trailers etc like I did with GoF as I felt I'd seen most of the movie before I got to the cinema. |

Hmm
I still don't buy it I'm afraid. Also Dumbledore (DD) would never have killed Harry to defeat LV.
By the way, Harry was advised by DD to destroy all of the horcruxes before going for LV. For me this says that DD did not believe Harry was a horcrux (after all how could he destroy himself) but he did believe that LV wanted to create a horcrux that night. Ok we can't take that for definite as this was only a DD theory but I think it's a good indication of where JKR was going.
On the GoF quote, the book handled this part of the saga much better I think than the film though it still does not answer the real questions that relate to that night.
What happened to the part of his soul he was trying to split? Why couldn't he kill Harry? What happened really to his body? Why was the house destroyed? Who is the other person that JKR says was there when it all happened? How did LV get his wand back from the ruins of the house? how did everyone else find out what happened?
I can't wait to find out! |

I think you mean in the films and yes I agree - I like Zoe Wannamaker who plays Hooch and she was great in the first film. |
