"CELESTE!"
AnaMaria grabbed Celeste just as she was about to hit the ground. "Are you alright?"
Celeste got back up after nearly fainting and began to make a bandage for her head.
"I think you need to lie down." said AnaMaria. She found an empty bed and helped Celeste into it. "All of the healers are occupied, but I'll get one to you as soon as they're free. "

Alan ran after Roger as soon as he could. A swarm of healers had already converged onto him.
"Do you have any idea what happened to him?"one aked him.
"I'm not sure, but he said something about it feeling like his heart had been cut open. But I thought that that was about our friend Willi dying. I found this next to him."Alan pulled out the rust-red piece of mirror from his robes.
The healer took the fragment of glass from Alan and said in soothing tones,"Don't worry about him. He'll probably be fine."
Alan grimaced at the word "probably".
"You should worry about yourself, though. Look at your leg!"the healer continued.
Alan looked down at his right leg. At least, what used to be his leg. What he saw wasn't it at all. The only thing he saw was a mangled messy mass of flesh, blood, and, even the white of what was most likely his tibia bone. He gasped at the sight of it and almost shouted out,:"Where's my leg!?" He supposed that with all the worry and emotional pain, he forgot about himself and his physical pain.
He brushed this new-found hurt away and put on a defiant expression."There are others hurt worse than I. I work with the muggle emergency-healers. Let me help."
The healer seemed so harried and exhausted that he agreed let an injured paramedic walk and help. Anything for a little rest.

Alanna looked around the packed Hospital Wing. 'Dang it!' she thought bitterly, 'with all these people,....how is she going to get any rest?' She layed her friend down and looked for Trunce. 'Where the bloody hell are you!?' Keenshu was quickly falling asleep on the cot Alanna forced her to lie down on, so Alanna thought this the best time as ever to continue looking for Trunce. Keenshu was fine, but now she had to find Trunce....'Where haven't I looked?' She thought about this as she searched the beds, seeing all the other dishovled people there, suffering much worse than her. 'gah! I'll never be able to think in this death reeking building!' It hit her so suddenly she spoke the answer.
"He's outside...." She ran to the window to see if it was possible to make out that familer figer. It only proved her thoery right.... " That inconsiderate, scum!" Only half meaning what she said. She ran over several people trying to get to the door, when an unwanted heeler stepped in her way.
"Miss, please calm down and go find a cot until we can check on you." He said it very seriously, but heck. Alanna just took on a dozen Death Eater. There's no way he was about to stop her....

Sydney opened her eyes again and a healer came over to her.

"Hello," he said. "You have a nasty bit of a cut on your leg and you've had quite a lot of blood loss. I believe you also went into shock with the combination of losing your friend Colin, sitting out in the cold rain for quite a while, and all the blood loss. That's why you've got such a splitting headache."

The healer took out his wand, pointed it at Sydney's leg, and muttered something. Sydney watched as her cut disappeared.

"Now, I have 3 potions for you to take," the healer told her, "The first will help you make new blood a bit faster than normal, the second is a pain potion for the headache, and the third will help you sleep."

Sydney took all 3 potions and drank them all. Immediately, the pain in her head subsided and she felt even sleepier than she already did. Sydney watched the healer walk over to a girl who Sydney believed was named Celeste, and then she fell into a deep sleep.

Alan went about limping after the healers and Madam Pomfrey.Helping administer potions, keep patients quiet, running (as best he could) errands, and, bandaging. He had always enjoyed bandaging the most of all of his first-aid training.
He had been at this for a couple of hours when the first healer, whom Alan learned was named Augustus Pye. A young man rather interested in Muggle healing insisted that he had "done enough and to let me take a look at that leg of yours".
"Good Lord!"he shouted,"and you say that it has been like this for about six hours and you haven't really noticed the pain until about three hours ago and you've been fighting and walking around on it all this time?! No wonder our patients have been flinching every time we come near! That must have scared them even closer to death than some of them already are!"
"Yes, Sir. That's all correct......Did you say 'we'? 'Our patients'?....Roger! Is he okay!?"Alan cried out in a blur of words and sounds.
"Of course I said 'we' and 'our patients'! You've been loads of help to me! To us! I'm not sure how to thank you! But I do think that you have The Healer's Touch and it would be an honor to have you working beside me at St. Mungo's. Once you re-do this last year. I dare-say! What a mess! Would suggesting you be thanks enough? And don't you worry about Roger he's going to be just fine. Now let me exam that leg of yours."
Augustus took Alan's leg and poked and prodded it with his wand. Turning it this way and that. Rubbing an ointment on it here and there. He concluded that it had been mangled by a were-wolf. But when he was in human form. He managed to heal it up okay, explaining all the while how to do it.
"There! That should do it. Now you can deal with the smaller cuts I trust? I would tell you to go take a rest,"Alan's mouth dropped open in prortest."But I know that you wouldn't listen to me if I did. And, frankly, why waste the breath when I still have all this to do?"He waved his arm around the hospital wing and almost knocked over another healer hunched over a bed with the blonde girl from the line in it. Alan's mouth closed and formed itself into a strange smile for the fourth time that night."....So why don't you go off and check on your friend Roger for me and you can go have a nice rare-steak in the Great Hall with Bill Weasley later.....And stay off that leg!"He cried after Alan and a crutch which caught him by surprise under the arm and made him stumble and grab onto a passing medicine cart for support in order to follow the Healer's orders. Grinning for the fifth time that night, made his way across the ward to Roger's bed-side.

AnaMaria helped her into an empty bed. "Thanks." she said vaguely. "You should get help for your cat now...." Celeste fell into the world of sleep and saw no more.

The first thing Moe knew as she came to was that she could hear people: crying, walking, talking, coughing...
Everything else then flooded her mind- something heavy was on top of, she couldn't see because of it, she could hardly breathe because of it, while her head and right shoulder seemed to be throbbing uncontrollably.
She felt her lips part, offering a harsh rasp as she tried to push the weight off her with her left arm. After a few tries, the thing rolled off her and she sat up.
Moe almost fell backwards again as her head reeled from the sudden movement. With a lurch she forced herself forward again, over the thing she'd rolled off her...then wishing fervently that she hadn't.
It was a body, ashen and clearly dead. It was the body of a fellow Gryffindor, of a fellow sixth-year girl, of Moe's closest friend and only real confidant.
It was then that she blacked out again, oblivious to the cries of people seeing her and unaware of the hands that carried her away.

Alan hobbled forward as fast as he could on his three "legs". He was sure that Roger was going to be okay. Though he was still un-concious. Alan knew that he needed his rest. He had now progressed to talk of burning witches which alan took to be a good sign because it meant that he could move from one thought to the next.
Alan recognized the new-comer as a girl named Moe. He couldn't remember her last name. He thought that she was a sixth or fifth year. Probably sixth. She had never really said much. But it wasn't in a mean way. When she did talk, she was never rude. They occasionally answered each others questions about homework in the common room and mumbled a few hello's to eachother in the corridors.
Her left arm seemed to be at an odd angle, but it looked like just a small fracture. It could be fixed easily. He also noticed a weird-shaped cut on her cheek. Probably from that Bellatrix Lestrange that Molly Weasley had done in. Boy, was she shocked by her langage during that. He had met her a few times. He was friends with her son Ron. Lestrange had a history of playing dirty. She had almost gouged his eyes out earlier that evening. But luckily, Remus Lupin got her down before he could do any real damage. Moe's cut looked shallow enough, though. He moved forward, drawing out his wand, to heal it.

Celeste had fallen asleep.
AnaMaria couldn't wake her. She quickly found a healer who tended to Celeste. The healer closed the gash on Celeste's forehead, called another healer with a medicine cart over, and, after much effort, woke up just long enough so she could take a potion.

The healer then turned to Dory. "What's happened to your cat, Miss?"
AnaMaria looked down at Dory. "Um, I'm not sure, to be honest. He's just... fading." The healer took Dory in her arms and stroked his fur. Dory seemed to perk up. She stroked him again, and then once more. He leaped out of her arms and purred affectionately in her direction before turning to AnaMaria. She knelt down and picked him up, overjoyed, and then turned to thank the healer, but the healer had already gone.

Celeste's dreams were full of the battle. How she had battled Lucius Malfoy, who had given her the gash on her head. Eventually a member of the Order had come to take over. Then she had wlaked among the students, ocasionally joining a duel. She had seen many die. In her dreams she relived these happenings, only worse. She relived seeing Harry Potter dead at Voldemort's feet. She had lost hope. Then saw him come back to life and finish Voldemort off. She awoke for a few moments and a healer gave her a potion for a dreamless sleep. That was better. Now she had peace.

On the top of the astronomy tower stood a lone mallard duck, this was no ordinary duck however it had 3 feathers sticking out of the top of its head and was as inteligent as any human. He waddled over toward the edge and silently soared of into the night.

He flew high over the school in slowly descending circles and on his second flyover, was joined by a magnificent deep black hippogriff. They flew on going ever lower, scanning the destruction and sadness below.

Alan left the Hospital Wing. He went out into the grounds. Into the forbidden forset. Where he just sat there. Thinking about what could've happened. If he had died instead of Willi. If he had fought harder against the new regime at Hogwarts. If Harry had really been dead. If the Ministry had not fallen. If Dumbledore hadn't died. It was then that he saw a small black stone on the forset floor.

The Heeler walked away and Alanna went over to Keenshu's bed.
"Hey, Keenshu!" She whispered. Keenshu moved her head in acknowlegdement but didn't open her eyes. "If a Heeler comes over to you looking for me, tell him I went to the bathroom." Then for added effect she said, " I really have to go" Keenshu moved her head again. And Alanna left, she knew she couldn't have told her where Trunce was or that she had found him. If she did that then Keenshu would have jumped out of a deathbed to look for him as well.
'Now, all I have to do is go get him.' She left quickly but quickly and aaafter she was another floor down, she ran the rest of the way to the Huge Oak doors.
" What do you think YOU'RE doing?" Said a vioce behind her. She instictively pulled out her wand. and turned.
It was a Ravenclaw, maybe a year older than her. But she saw the Prefect bagde and decided that it'd be safe to put her wand away. "My friend is outside, and I need to get him before my other friend dies of impatience...."
"oh....well, I don't know...." Alanna went for the door not bothering to wait for this girl to make up her mind whether or not she should go out to get her friend.
OUtside, she saw him looking at the sky. she looked up too. There was nothing.
"uh,...Trunce?" He did nothing. "Hello? You with the nonexsistant brain!" He turned.
"Oh, hi! Didn't notice you there! Who are you? Where am I? Is this a party? There sure was a lot of people yelling!" He laughed.
"er, Trunce?"
"How did you know my name?!" Oh no......

Alan heard a maniacal laugh in the distance. He always had exceptionally good hearing. he moved towards it, his wand out. Leaving the stone where it was, forgotten. He found a boy whom he did not recognize and and a girl he had seen in the Hospital Wing. He put his wand away.
"Are you okay?"he asjed the boy cautiously.

Celeste awoke with a start. Someone was laughing a maniacal laugh. Celeste got out of bed and slipped away to find out who it came from and why. Noone saw her slip away, leaving an empty bed that was soon filled. The healers couldn't keep track of all their patients, their were to many.
