<font color=darkorchild>Zoe Wannamaker, the actress who plays Madame Hooch in the Harry Potter movie has been written out of the second movie. This is Zoe playing Madam Hooch:

She was payed £40,000 pounds for her ten minute slot in the movie. When she asked for a pay rise, The Warner Brothers laughed in her face.

So what do you think? Is Zoe being greedy? Should she get a pay rise? Are Warner Bros. mean for not listening to her?

I guess it Depends on how long it took to shoot the scene. If it somehow took a couple of weeks or more, then 40,000 sounds OK I guess for a for a reasonably well-known actress (seeing as big stars get multi millions for just one movie). I'd put that figure near (or at) the top of the scale though.

I would have thought that Warner Bros could have had the actors sign contracts so they don't leave before the end of their time - after all, there's 6 more movies to go. I hope no more start to consider leaving - they all seemed so well matched to the parts.

I've learned to hate WB. I think that Madame Hooch should be able to be in the 2nd book, unless they write out all the Quidditch
*wails*

But the previous site I was on
http://www.harrypotterguide.co.uk
Is managed by Claire Feilds, who had a sort of battle with WB who tried to take her site away. It got in all the newspapers and stuff.

WB was sort of mean for just laghing in her face. They could have talked about it and calmley said no instead of kicking her out of the movie. That would be terrible unless they found some one else to play her, because then they wouldn't have anyone to ref quidditch. No ref for quiddithch means no quidditch at all! *starts to cry*

Well, each pound, i think is like a little over $2.00 here in the USA, so, here she'd get like twice as much, maybe more.

well, in that case,no.she was good but not that good.it also depends how long it took to shoot the 10 min. scene.she matched the part well but that's too much for a 10 min. scene.

i heard somewhere that there was going to be very little quidditch in the next film! maybe thats y? I think thats because it takes so long to shoot, it must cost them a fortune to produce a quidditch match!

Oh, that will be a pity if they leave the quidditch out!

I hope that is just a rumour. I guess we will just have to wait and see. Madam Hooch is a really great character and essential to the movies. Please let this be rumour!

if she's in the movie longer than maybe a pay raise...but she wasn't in the first one for too long...so i don't really think she needs one anyway
