I definately dont think that heath ledger or james van der beek are WAY too old to play cedric. and well cedric was blonde wasnt he so that rules out heath cause he whole complexion would be too dark, and james just has a really old looking face, that wouldnt work.

 ummm... I don't think the hair color matter at all... but that's just me. I think the fact that Daniel Radcliffe's eyes are blue in the movie and very obviously green in the books is more of a problem than Cedric's hair color...

y'all, this is MY fantasy casting... so it's okay for me to have Heath Ledger playing Cedric, cuz he's A HOTTIE!!! make up your own fantasy cast and you don't have to have him in it.

I definatly agre that it's a BIG problem that Daniel has blue eyes, and in book they always mention how he has green eyes just like his mum

One thing is that I remember reading that JKR definately wants BRITISH actresses and actors in the films... hmm... quite a problem for a fantasy casting :D
But what do you think about Kathy Bates for this Umbridge-woman (stinky beast...!)? She acted in Misery this crazy psycho-woman! And I really what Morgan Freeman for Shaklebolt (is this his proper name? I'm not in my home country these days and don't have the books around to look it up... *sigh*)!!! Ok, he is quite old already but i can't remember if Shaklebolt's age is mentioned somewhere...
Then we have Tonks - Do you remeber "Four Weddings and a Funeral"? Charlie's red-head friend? Scarlett is her name in the film and Charlotte Coleman in reality.

I dont know about that. Morgan Freeman is kinda old and I imagined Shaklebolt to be very muscular and younger

DMX would make a good Shaklebolt, lol j/k, his movie is on and it made me think of him.

I think your right about Danial Radecliffe being Harry Potter,he's terrible, he looks so dumn clutching his scar when it hurt in HP 1,

your casting is very good, I must add, the actor you chose for Moody would be perfect

Wow, Kathy Bates'd be brilliant as Umbridge - teehee! And I love the idea about that girl from "Four weddings..." Good ideas, Eos!
Not so sure about Morgan Freeman, though, but I'm sure it'll be someone unknown.

Thanks Won!
Well, I know I might be a bit fixed on Morgan Freeman, and the age thing is a tiny problem - but as it's a fantasy casting we could make him look a bit younger? A tiny anti-aging-charm?

*waves wand - realises that position is still marked with "muggle" - steamy sparkles come out of wand - ages herself... blimey*

Hm - should go to the library reading the charm-book for first-years, just as a preperation... :-?

Another thing: I really liked Kenneth Branagh as Lockheart, but my biggest wish was this role to be played by Hugh Grant!

Yeah, I know, and I respect that... it keeps us from having "British" characters (like Kevin Costner in Robin Hood... UGH the man can't act!). Thing is, I'm in the U.S., so I don't know many British actors. I did try to use British when I could in my fantasy casting (Rik Mayall, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Hannah Taylor-Gordon, the kid I picked for Harry is half-British, and I think he was actually up for the role a long time ago)... Aaaaa, Rik Mayall might be Australian, but y'all, he's PERFECT for the role of Mundungus!!!! For anyone who's seen Jesus Christ Superstar (the newest one), he plays Herod.

But what do you think about Kathy Bates for this Umbridge-woman (stinky beast...!)?

LOL PERFECT!!!! Haha, that is AWESOME!!! I actually imagine in my head my seventh grade English teacher, but as she's Texan and 300 years old, I doubt she'd get the role... (sorry Mrs. Rutherford)

And I really what Morgan Freeman for Shaklebolt (is this his proper name? I'm not in my home country these days and don't have the books around to look it up... *sigh*)!!! Ok, he is quite old already but i can't remember if Shaklebolt's age is mentioned somewhere...

hmmm... I do think Morgan Freeman is a bit too old for the part... How weird is it that black characters almost always seem to be Morgan Freeman, though? About 75% of black men in books are played by Morgan Freeman in my head (yup, I know, I'm weird... I see movies when I read books, it's nifty). actually, wanna hear something funny? Have y'all seen Moulin Rouge? You know the guy who rescues Satine from the Duke? That's kinda how I picture Kingsley, only a little less gay.

Then we have Tonks - Do you remeber "Four Weddings and a Funeral"? Charlie's red-head friend? Scarlett is her name in the film and Charlotte Coleman in reality.

Never saw it, but I've been told I should... This is a fun character, as I don't think she's really "pretty" but more cutesy... I kinda like Scarlett Johannson (from Lost in Translation) for this part, but I don't know if she could pull it off. Tonks reminds me of someone in particular, but I can't for the life of me remember who it is... hmmm....

His image as Morpheus is too strong!
What if he suddenly offered red pills and blue pills in the middle of the tense confrontation of Fudge and Dumbledore?

I didn't know Shackletbolt was a black. (not entirely sure if his name was spelt this way)

There is this british actor, I can't remember the name but he acted in Titanic as the chief engineer and Jack Bristow in Alias. I think he is a pretty talented actor. Which role would fit him?

choki: look when Harry is first introduced to Shacklebolt (I think in OotP, "The Advance Guard"), it says he's black, and I'm pretty sure he has an earring.

the chief engineer? Ummm... you mean the first officer (Murdoch)? Didn't care for him. OOOHHHHH, no, you're talking about Andrews, the actual designer of the ship... His real name is Victor Garber. yeah, he's cool. He'd be my pick for Barty Crouch, Sr... (if I already made up a Barty Crouch, Sr, I take it back, Victor Garber would make a great Barty Crouch, Sr.)

Victor Garber!!! Yes, that's the name I've been looking for...(it's funny, I'd a huge 'Titanic' jiggle-saw puzzle with the standard cast lists thingy you'll find in all movies, yet there was no mention of Victor Garber!)

And he fits the role of Barty Sr perfectly! He has that no-nonsense look and an law-abiding image.

Anybody think Orlando Bloom would make a good cedric. he can look kinda young (well younger than heath ledger), is a blooming good actor (excuse the pun) and is also BRITISH. What a good catch.

Yeah, but think about it. That movie had SO MANY famous cameo and small-part appearances, they couldn't put everyone in the little credits thingymebobber.

Yup, definately! I like him...

I like Orlando Bloom, and I guess he'd be okay... but I always pictured more of a hunk, not so much a pretty boy... You're right, though, he is an excellent actor...

Wish Billy Boyd (Pippin from LOTR) were about five or ten years younger... WHAT A CUTIE!!!! but he's, like, thirty years old... don't know where he could ever fit in. But I'd have him in something, just so I could look at him some more.
