Have you heard about the rumours that Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) will be Lord Voldemort in the new Potter movie? Imagine that...some paper said he wanted to get away from playing funny characters and do some "serious work"

but today he denied that he will play the role of VOldemort...

Who could you imagine to be the best choice for this character?

I have just come across Atkinson's picture in the Internet - his face could really be evil...

LV is surely going to have a lot of make up though  , so it's actually not important who will play him :o Maybe he will all be computer-made like Dobby?

Hmm that's strange...I remembered I replied this thread...but my reply is gone

Rowan Atkinson would be a good choice. He does have an evil/sinister look if he wants. But the only drawback is...audience will see him as Mr Bean instead of the fearful Voldemort!

I heard he was battling with depression lately :(

What's the age of Voldemort? If he is in his late sixties, we can't possibly get someone who doesn't look like 60, right?

Choki - there is a similar thread in the rumours section and your answer is there... Hmm... I think I am going to lock this other one to avoid confusion.

He is approx. the same age with Hagrid. And Hagrid looks younger than 60... About 40-50 I would say. Wizards live longer and thus look younger ;)

Hmmm...well Voldemort is in his sixties, but then again, he doesn't really look human, does he? I don't think the audience would notice the age difference if the character was Voldemort.

take a look at this:

Rumors Cleared

[AiLeen | 01/07/04]

Rumors have surfaced recently that Rowan Atkinson, known as Mr. Bean and Johnny English, was rumored to be Voldemort in GOF.
But, the rumors were cleared by Atkinson's agent and he will not have a role in GOF. Just a little tidbit for you.

it's from www.darkmark.com

Don't they have an actor for Voldemort? Someone played him in the first movie... *checks on internet* ... some Richard Bremmer. Dunno who he is...

What is this?! :???: No John Malkovitch supporters?!
He's perfectly diabolical, don't you think?
But of course they already have actor for LV

As for Atkinson - I heard rumors he'd play Phineas Nigellus and this upset me a lot. Phineas is my favourite character  :ice cream: and I want to see sb. really good looking in his role (I know, how very immature of me  )
Atkinson is for me always mister Bean but I expect much higher level of humor of Phineas :x
