Where did Worm tail get his clothing from?

When Worm tail finally reveled himself he was fully clothed and when he turned back into the rat the clothing remained, where did it come from originally?

They have simply got v. good at magicalling some clothes when they transform, they now do it w/o thinking.

Am just trying to work out whether you are being sarcastic or if you do really believe there was no flaw in the PoA film?

Dark Soul is merely pointing out that when Wormtail was revealed by Lupin and Sirius in the film, he was fully clothed (meaning that the last time he transformed from human form to rat he would have kept his clothes) but when he transformed back into a rat (when Lupin was also transforming into a werewolf) his clothes were left behind.

You would think that if they transformed it would always happen the same way... this is the flaw within the film...

Well, seeing as how it's magic; we have no idea how it actually works. I think that if someone was very skilled at transforming into an animal, they would be able to do all sorts of things. Who's to say they can't transform very quickly one time, and very slowly another time. Maybe someone can become so skilled that they can stop in mid-transformation. If all of this is possible (and in the HP universe, a lot of things are); I don't really have trouble believing that a person can choose whether or not they want thier clothes to transform along with them. I mean; Wormtail was trying to escape, so leaving your clothes fluttering behind would make for a good destraction.

well i agree on the flaw thing...
there has to be some kind of logic to everything... and randomly transforming clothes sound more like a mistake (that they surely know about) than something they would do on purpose as in "it's because he's trying to escape"... i'd say.
i think it just looks good in the film.

I really believe it must have been a mistake to leave his clothes behind in the film. Why would anyone want to leave their clothes behind - it would be so embarrassing

Also I vaguely remember reading in one of the books probably PS that McGonagall's cat form had circles around her eyes - as if to represent her spectacles. I'm sure that was when JKR was describing her in Privet Drive.

I know this is a magical world but surely some magic things have a consistent approach to them.

I think you're right, Snow_Patrol. In the 1st book clothing leave a trace when McGonagall transforms... makes more sense than leaving your clothes behind everytime you transform!!

ha ha - I just reckon it would be sooo embarrassing to transform back to human form, without clothes and then have to go hunting for something to wear!

It will be interesting to see whether Wormtail has the same outfit on in GoF...

Here's a strange thought. Maybe those are the clothes wormtail had on when he first changed into a rat and dissapeared. It would kind of make sense. As far as the owls. It's a magical world where owls are used as post. You'd assume owls would be everywhere in their world

Animagi get to keep their clothes when they switch back to human form, so yes, they would be.

Unless he's changed form once or twice to get some new ones whilst being Ron or Percy's rat.
