Some things that have been bugging me since my last re-read...

[1] How does Filch, as a Squib, have extensive knowledge of Hogwarts? Surely if he was a wizard, he'd have never attended the castle right?
[2] How did Fudge get his Order of Merlin, First Class?
[3] What was Tonks' old Patronus and what is her new one?
[4] Why did Dumbledore think Tom Riddle Jnr would be a "funny boy"? Is it because he was conceived under a love potion?
[5] What really happened in the cave between Amy Benson, Dennis Bishop and Tom Riddle?

If you could help that'd be great thanks!

Also...

[6] Is Rufus Scrimgeour really a vampire? Why else would the Ministry care if Mr. Lovegood printed the article when the majority of the wizarding community think the Quibbler is rubbish anyway?

1: Hard to tell for certain if somebody will be a squib until puberty, by which time they're already too deep into the magical world to be able to live normally among muggles.

2: Dunno, but he was part of the team that arrested Sirius Black, so perhaps he got it for something that he did on that day...

3: Nobody has said what her old one was, but the new one is a werewolf.

4: By funny he means odd, a child wanting to use torture for coercion enough that they actually do so is rare at so young an age.

5: That's between them, but presumably it wasn't pleasant.

6: Suppression of negative information about politicians (be it true or false) is fairly common, but it is rarely more complete than when the country is at war. For somebody to level accusations at Churchill during WWII would've been considered as little short of treason.

Fair enough. I also want to know how much danger Trelawney is in now that Dumbledore is dead. Does Voldemort know she made the prophecy?

I think he must do. Snape knew DD was interviewing Trelawny and I can't believe he would have left that detail out.

I would like to know what happens to Neville's grandmother in the final book. Do you think she might come into the storyline a bit more? She had a lot of respect for DD and does for Harry and may also like to take some revenge for what happened to Neville's parents. She may also think she's not got much time left any more.

Trouble with that is she sees Neville as being very inept, she may prefer not to risk her neck for fear of leaving Neville without somebody to take care of him.

On the other hand; I still reckon it was her memory charm that damaged his memory in the first place. Maybe to fight would be to attain self-absolution for the dodgy charm. Considering she failed her charms exam, she would've known she wasn't the best person to be doing tricky charms on people.

how fo you know she failed that test?
anyway id like to see neville himself come more into the storyline - not in matter of number of pages but of doing important stuff - we had quite blunt clues in book 1 and 6 at least for his loyalty and bravory and though he isnt best at magics these qualities are the more important part probably

McGonagall mentions it, first morning back at Hogwarts in book 6.

Don't forget book 5! Not only did he get really good at DADA, he also carried on fighting without a wand, and for anybody who says carrying a casualty when you're unarmed and under fire doesn't count as fighting I say try it for yourself.
