Excellent, then I'm going back to my "Ravenclaw headmistress who only served for 9 days, then was removed by an evil slytherin??? " theory. and maybe the new Slyth head tried to change everyone over to slytherin, and it didnt' work???

Maybe I am just grasping at straws here!!!

who says RR was even headmistress, i think that at first all 4 were kind of like joint headmasters/mistresses, and then slytherin left, and i think that if one had to assume the title, it would have been gryffindor

actually 123, that one was kinda based on the grey lady not being RR, just a ravenclaw headmistress!
Sorry about that, but you prob have to go back to the prev page for it to make sense!!! ;)

I suppose that I should have been a little more specific...

Well... we do know one more thing about Ravenclaw -- their head is Professor Flitwick.

And as for why Hermione was not put into Ravenclaw... perhaps it has something to do with choices? Just like how Harry did not want to go to Slytherin... perhaps Hermione prefers Gryffindor over Ravenclaw? After all, she did say in the first book that she's done research and thinks Gryffindor is the best house. (It was either on the train or when they reached the school... I can't really remember...) Besides, Hermione does have lots of courage, which she prides over intelligence (she told Harry so before he confronted Voldemort in 'Philosopher's Stone'.)

And Luna's in Ravenclaw! Though she doesn't seem more intelligent than normal, so it's maybe even strange she is in Ravenclaw. If she and Harry, or she and Ron,become close friends (major if!), we might get to know a lot more about Ravenclaw in HP6. Who knows..

Careful, gecko. :) Hard as it is (I'm certainly struggling with it!!), Paul wants us to limit any mention of book 5 to the book 5 discussion areas. It's quite hard, as it limits what we can talk about here and in the characters section and so forth, but I can understand his reasoning, as he doesn't want anyone to be spoiled for the book, and if all book 5 discussion is in the book 5 areas, people who have not yet finished or read the book can simply avoid those areas. :) Not picking on you at all--just wanted to let you know! I hope you'll take these theories and post them in the "Book 5 Theories" section...I think it would be interesting to discuss! :D Happy posting!

Hey, I read a biography on Queen Mary and she had a really sad life. Everyone thinks she's all evil, and she did order a bunch of Protestants killed, but she honestly thought she was doing the right thing. I don't like her at all, but I feel sorry for her.
Anyway, though... I agree that we're gonna get more info on Ravenclaw in the upcoming books. Maybe from a certain character introduced in book 5? (notice how carefully i avoid spoiling anything  )
Also... does anyone know who the head of Ravenclaw house is? Is that common knowledge and I'm just stupid, or do we not know???
