Troll fight from book 1

Ok, so everyone has talked about the chess game from book 1 as a possible hint at whats to come but how about the troll fight. I was rereading the book and it occured to me that this is when harry, rom and hermoine became friends so this may be important in the future books. Just a thought.

The troll fight basically like this:
Hermoine was trapped and ron and harry came to help her. Harry tries first and is basically stuck, so ron comes to the rescue.

Do you think this is how some future battle will work?

So do you think that in the final ultimate fight between the good and evil, Hermione will get herself into a sticky situation (and perhaps a hostage) and that Harry will try to rescue her first but fails and Ron appears to save the day?

Good point... I never made the connection.
J.K. Rowling has mentioned before (I am almost certain) that she's suprised more people don't worry about Hermione, that she sees that character as "very vulnerable". It's becoming more and more obvious that Ron and Hermione are going to become a couple at some point, so all that could fit together nicely.

It's sound just like the perfect scene!
Hermione, trapped; Harry, with his wants to save them all spirit go there and tries to save her; Ron, totally in love for Hermione, makes the final spell and kills the troll, saving both Hermy and Harry!... Hmm!!! The perfect scene, I say!
