No. But there's alot of evidence to the contrary though

I was just thinking "who does Voldie trust", in order to see who Snape could change into and Nagini seems to be about it.

Nagini's there when he talks about his plans (GoF Chapter 1) for Harry and attacks Arthur Wealsey too. No chance of it being Snape then

I was thinking of starting a topic on Familiars reflecting personality actually : Hagrid - Fang, Voldie - Nagini, Dumbledore - Fawkes, Harry - Hedwig, Ron - Pig, Hermione - Crookshanks, but I don't think that tells us much more than we already know. Except that Snape doesn't have a familiar. :???:

if Snape starts turning into something (animagus-like) I'm going to lose a little respect I have for J.K. Rowling as an author. I think the "unregisered animagus" thing has been about as played out as it can be without sounding completely stale, and that would just push it over the edge.

I jus think that Snape was an angry young amn when he was growing up and needed to learn magic to defend himself from his father (its interesting that JKR describes him doing target practice with flies in his bedroom - OotP). Being the angry type and being less than attractive and greasy would make him an easy target for teasing and bullying from James/Sirius, so he worked hard to learn the dark arts to get them back.

The natural progression from there would be to join the DEs, but I can't wait to find out what made him switch sides.
