I really don't think that the DADA teacher will be Fleur. JK did say that we'd see Fleur again but not that she'd be a teacher at Hogwarts. It was Fleur who said that she wanted to teach. And anyway, from what we've seen of Fleur's magical capabilities, she doesn't seem like the most copentent wizard out there, She just came across as being a bit weak. And I bloody hate her as a character. So there. Grr, it best not be Fleur. ;)
Oh, and Holly, you made a good point about Lucius not wanting a working wife. He does come across as the womanizing kind who would want a "trophy wife." It makes me rethink my idea as her being the DADA teacher.
And on a side note, what is spoiled honey like anyway? Does it really "go bad," per se? I mean, all of the old honey I've seen has tasted the same, it's just been a little...crusty.

Blaise, I agree with the Fleur thing, she didn't seem too competent with those grindylow, did she? Also, how can she teach if she cant' speak engligh very well??? :-?

I assumed spolit honey to be those people who seem sorta nice at first, but are really not very nice at all! Very insencere with a wide vendictive streak! I dont' actually think that honey ever goes off though... but things that are described to be like honey are smooth, sweet, and for people, very easy to get along with... so spoilt would be the opp??? :???:

I tend to see it the other way around...someone who was originally a very nice and good hearted person, a true 'honey', but then became nasty for whatever reason...like honey that is normally sweet and tasty but becomes indigestible when it gets spoiled.

I think that spoiled honey refers to people that, like Fleur, are very pretty; but they feel more than other people, like Fleur talking of Harry as "the little boy" or things like that

And surely Fleur most be very capable if she was chosen as the Beauxbaton champion, I mean one mistake doesn't make her a totallly bad witch.

Hrmm,I disagree with your theory there Neo *shock horro I know* but I do like what you wrote Mistress Siana!

And even though I doubt she will be the teacher, here's a bit of an idea..

Maybe Narcissa Malfoy wasnt' that bad really, then she met Lucious, and turned evil? *maybe??*

Some of the earlier threads leave the impression that most people assume that Lucius treats her quite badly...maybe she still isn't as evil as she's expected to be?

Really...

I don't know... I could possibly see him as a cold and igrnoing her kind of husband, but not abusive...
*I know that you didnt' say he was, but I haven't seen those threads...*

:???:

Okay, okay back to the topic; if "spoiled honey" is what Mist says (which I doubt), then we should know more thing about this character, because we should know about the time she was good, when she turned bad, and now see her as a bad person being the DADA teacher (in that case Quirell fits in the term spoiled honey, no?)

rather sounds like Snape...but the new DADA teacher is supposed to be a woman, it certainly ain't neither Quirrell nor Snape...I'd be pretty worried otherwise :-?

Holly, treating his wife badly doesn't mean he's abusive...but seeing a woman as a kind of trophy (as supposed somewhere) and forbidding her to work etc fits into my definition of bad treatment.

Okies, I think that I've gone back onthe spoilt honey definition... I don't think that this teacher will be a shick who was good, then was turned evil... just too similar to things that have already happened...

Siana: I wouldn't really call that abusive, though I do understand your point on the trophy wife who cant' work thing... that is exactly how I would see Lucious as treating his wife... But I suppose that that is just what some *rather pathetic and shallow* chicks want!!!

And if that is the case of Narcisa, Holly, then she isn't very good.
