Yeah I agree that Harry is tha last Piotter alive; but even if Evans family is all muggle ther must be one aunt or cousin alive, I mean Aunt Petunia isn't that old.

A lot of single/no child families? Why not? I have a very small family as well...
I totally agree on the point that there are most likely no living relatives.

So that means the last Evans is Aunt Petunia, no?

Well, they haven't mentioned anything about any other relatives, have they! In the first book, Petunia makes it soundlike there were just the two girls (her and Lily)... so if it was only a little family, there would go the Evans sir-name... no?

Maybe there is another Evans, but Petunia doesn't knoe about it for whatever reason...as I said somewhere else, I've heard the theory that Narcissa Malfoy could be related to the Evans family, for Lily, Petunia and Narcissa are all flower names...not likely though

Good point. I'm not sure that it has to do with their being related, but there has to be some reason as to why they all have flower names. Besides those three, there are a lot of other characters named after flowers, as well. Pansy Parkinson, Poppy Pomphrey, Fleur Delacour, Lavender Brown, Moaning Myrtle, Violet, etc. I really can't think of any solid theories to go along with this.

moaning myrtle is a flower??

flowers are common names though

and i would have thought it more likely that the flower is named after the person and not the person after the flower really.....

Sorry, it's not a type of flower. It's a shrub in the evergreen family. But still a plant name!

Maybe JK just really likes the names of flowers... and when she doesnt' have any other deep kind ofreason for a name, ie the tom riddle=voldie thing, she just uses flower names for the girls??? :D

Yeah, you're right; I didn0t remember that;
and flower names are basically for women, I mean imagine that Harry was named "Turnpike Potter"

Narcissa - did you know that when you are saying are refering to Narcissus when describing a person , you mean selfish and stuck up?

oh oh here - i found the greek legend thingy

"A young man who pined away in love for his own image in a pool of water and was transformed into the flower that bears his name."

It fits really well with Narcissa Malfoy.
