Didn't JK say something in some quote about how deaths have to be expected now, b/c it's a full-blown war? :( If that's the case, I think we're gonna see a Weasley leave the planet next book.

Although most of the evidence (for me, at least) :-) shows that Lupin will be the next to die, I don't think that it'll happen. I was POSITIVE about him being the next to die since he's got the werewolf-silver thing working against him, but he's also the last link harry has to his father. So then I got to thinking the Weasley twins they're reckless and young, so it would fit... But I also think that if one twin dies, the other would have to as well, and since they're both comic relief, I'm positive that they'll be alive by the end of book 7. I think that MRS. WEASLEY is the next to die. She is a motherly sort, and it would be like Harry losing his mother all over again.

i voted for lupin (although i really hope i'm wrong) it seems to be a trend. first james dies, the peter (well, mostly) and then sirius. it just seems lupin is next in line you know.

I was thinking between Lupin and Moody. However, if Lupin dies, that means that, between the four pals (lupis, Siruis, James and Peter), only Peter will survive. But he's evil. I don't like to think he will be the only survivor of the four. So I voted for Moody. I don't know why, but i just have this feeling. Nevertheless, that makes me feel sad. He's a cool guy, with the Eye, and his personality, and aal ("Constant vigilance")

Well, that's my vote.

WHO WILL DIE?

Postby Sara8830 » Friday 12 September 2003 8:42:56pm

I DO think Snape is a vampire… but being the potions expert that he is he keeps it under control. The Vampire/ Werewolf thing might explain some hostility between Lupin and Snape and jealousy over the DADA position. It’s OK to give a WW the position, but not a vampire? I think Snape is trustworthy, just very ill mannered and he will make it to the end of the series. But a love interest could possibly tempt him to betray.

I think Peter will end up betraying LV and helping Harry and die in the course of doing one final act of good. So my vote is on Peter.

I do not believe that Sirus is truly dead. I believe his death was staged and he will assume the identity of the pop singer Stubby Boardman mentioned in the magazine Luna was reading. Luna doesn’t believe he is complete gone… and I think there might be something to that. Luna says a lot of weird things… but no one has actually proved her wrong, have they? I think Luna will be a piece of the puzzle along with her dead mother. I am just waiting to see whose ears turn to kumquats.

So my vote is Peter… and possibly one of the Weasley twins… they are just too reckless. And could you imagine them playing pranks, one as a human and one as a ghost!

I don't think peter will be brave enough to betray voldemort although he may well die. Alternatively he might escape as the only unscathed villain, just to make us really hate him.

I know this sounds a bit ridiculous but I don't think Peter will turn out to be so bad afterall...maybe after Lupin's death (which I hope Remus still live), Peter feels that he has done something really wrong and tries to atone for his past sins...

But I believe there will be more than 1 death in Book 6
I'm not sure but one thing I'm sure of...JKR will sure surprise us

plenty of twists and turns left! I think one person will die in book 6. I think two will die in book 7 and one will be voldemort.

Hrmm, interesting stuff everyone!

I agree that Peter will die, but I think that it will be book 7. ie, he turns on Voldie to save Harry's life and repay his debt to him, and in the process, gets himself killed. Very cliche I know, but still...

Also, I agree withteh silver hand/werewolf thing... it's just too coincidental. I mean, with all the other materials around, why give Peter a 'silver' hand unless there was a real reason for it, and I think that the reason will be to kill Lupin. Peter is a coward though, so I think that that will happen in a Lupin finds Peter somewhere and goes to kill him, but Peter defends himself and kills Lupin first. I'd say Peters too much of a coward to attack his old friend...

But about the Snape is a vampire thing... I dont know.. I just can't seem to bring muself around to believeing that one... :-?

I don't know about Snape.... I just read in the "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them" that a Vampire doesn't bit humans (well, it isn't said they don't bite, but neither is it said that they bite). I would think that a human can't be avampire.

It's just my thought

Wow, dont'you just hate it when you write up a whole thing without looking at the screen, and then look up to see thatyou had caps lock on, and have to re-write it all again??? ;)

Anyways, back to my post!

What about Vampires and daylight though? Spane's been out inthe sun? I thought that they werent' able to do that? Remember he's been at Quiddich games, and even reffed that one in Harry's first year?

Yeah, Holly! I'd say, Snape transforms in vampire (animagus thing). However, there are already to many animagus pp, and I don't think there is a chance Snape is one (who knows??? :???: ).
I have a theory about Snape that can be found here: Snape's secret

I hvae read the theory! I do like it, but have a little prob with it, as I've pointed out there.

About transforming into a vampire... I wonder if that woudl actually be possible or not? Just for the sake of curiosity that is...

Everytime someone mentioned vampires, I startt hinking abotu that thing when Harry's grade are talking about a new DADA teacher, prob at the end of book 4, and I think that Dean asks if they will ahve a vampire... Wonder if it will actually happen. You (or someone) did say that Vampires were mentioned in Fanstasic beasts, right? (Cant' find the book right now!) Maybe that's two hints to a vampire DADA teacher!

Hrmm, maybe I should have posted this is the New DADA teacher bit... or at least write it there or something, but I am nearly asleep now, so later I suppose! ;)

I think that JKR won't forget about the debt that peter owes harry, and that in either 6 or 7 he will die. He will kill lupin (i know, it makes me sad to think about) by accident maybe...i don't know about the silver thing, if it just has to touch a werewolf, he may be holding lupin back and it kills him.
REmus' death would push harry over the edge. Other threads talk about the state of mind harry needs to be in to perform the avada kadavra curse, and i think losing his entire "family" being all of the marauders, would definately mess him up.
As for DD, as he knows the truth of the prophecy, he may, in the end, sacrifice himself to give harry a good chance to kill LV or something
*I'm getting goosebumps as though by writing this im accepting his death.
I hope im wrong and it turns out to be someone innocent --- like bill or charlie--- who we don't really know.
