I think that Harry is a lil preoccupies battling with Voldemort and other evil wizards that he won't get upset about Dursleys as much.... Who knows - may be it will be Harry who will ignore them from now on ^-^ lol, at the beginning of the series Dursleys seemed sooo evil, but now as we read about horrors going on in the wizards world - they seem practically harmless, just a little annoying.

I don't really think Harry will actually go all "crucio" on Vernon, Dudly, and Petunia. Though it would be funny for Harry to have some fun with the Invisibility Cloak! But Vernon is a big guy and probably has 90% clogged arteries, so Harry's joke could send Vernon to the ER!

lol

i dont think harry will play around with the Dursleys, if ever he does trouble them, it will be a spontaneous reaction of anger or spite like the way he taunted Dudley in book 5

and Mint, dont you think that in fact it is because of the strain of Voldemort resurfacing, Harry will be more prone to snapping under tension and getting angry on the smallest of misbehaviours of the Dursleys?

The Dursleys are horrible child-abusers
Athena's right:
Whether Petunia actually hit him with the frying pan, or Harry wasn't hurt when Vernon tried to strangle him, is completely beside the point.
--> I feel Children Protection Services are doing poor job - I mean, you can't report beating in the family to police if at least half of policemen practice it regulary   Some even say physical abuse in the family is a part of ''folclore'' or ''culture''. I'd be pleased to Cruccio them!!! :evil grin:

But Cruccio revenge just isn't Harry's style ... or is? He tried it on Bella but he wanted to revenge Sirius - I don't think Harry would ever want to revenge himself. Too noble for that

Eol wrote:One argument for why Harry has turned out so well despite the Dursleys best efforts is that he doesn't identify with them as his family. He ridicules their beliefs (in private) and keeps his own beliefs to himself. They can only get to him if he lets them in other words. He doesn't value their opinions enough to listen to them.

I don't think Dursleys would ever be that smart even to think about this tactics
