Hi!

Could you please take a look at these theories on the love lives of the characters and give your opinions? These are some things I picked up while reading the 4 books.

Harry's first notions of girls and love come from being with Hermione so much, but eventually Harry will get together with his real love interest Cho.

Ginny may be 'in love' with Harry at first, but later she finds out that her love for him is nothing more than the sort of adoration fans often have for film- or popstars, and she changes in favour of another boy.

Ron (now here's a bit of a shocker) is bisexual. Yes, I know, I'm sorry that I ever confronted you with this appaling theory, but I just have to say it. The signs are (more or less) clear: Ron adores Viktor Krum just as much as all the girls do. Ron is jealous of the attention the girls (especially Hermione) get from Krum. Now you could argue that this is also a case of star-adoration, but I don't think that's the reason Ron likes him. After all his best friend is Harry, who is more powerful magically and may well become an even greater Quidditch player than Krum is. So why would he fall for Krum? I don't know if Ron will ever find a male partner. But it is also quite clear that Ron feels some affection for Hermione too, so maybe he will find a female partner who is right for him. Not Hermione though; their characters are too conflicting to be in a steady relationship together. Finally you will wonder why on earth JK puts something like this in childrens' books. Probably she wants to teach children that there's nothing wrong with people who have 'different preferences'.

I don't really know about Hermione. Maybe she will find a muggle partner. i just don't know.

Well, that's it. I know, it's all a bit weird perhaps, but anyway, it's just theories.

Bye,
Victor (not Krum)

You could be right about J.K. Rowling introdcing Ron as bisexual, but I, myself, don't think he is. Look at his reaction to Fleur! Or when Hermione walked into the Yule Ball all dressed up! I guess that doesn't mean anything, but I do think he is straight. Anyhow, you have a good thought there and I could very well be wrong...!

1) Harry will soon realise he likes Ginny ot just as Ron's little sister. She'll become Chaser when Angelina and peeps leave. They'll get closer.......

2) Ginny, alhtough not the shy little thing she used to be, still has an enormous crush on Harry (remember her reaction when harry said he had aked Cho?) and they'll get together.

3) Somehow I can't picture Ron being bi. I think he and Hermione will get together. JK Rowling almost confirmed it, though vaguely.

Firstly I dont like Ginny! She is annoying and i dontl like her. I think it will be Harry and Cho and Ron and Hermione. I dont think Ron is bisexual..becouse.......
The reason he was jelous of Krum is becouse he was going with Hermoine to the Yule Ball and not him......Ron just isnt ready to confess his feelings for Hermione just yet. Remembner how irratble he was when Hermione would talk about Krum? He hated them together becouse HE like Hermoine and he hated haveing to compete with Krum. He likes him becouse he is a star and a Quidditch player and I think its nothing more that hero worhship. I might have more to say on the subject later.

I dont think HArry and Ginny will end up together, she's Ron's little sister for crying out loud. I also don't think Ron is bi, it doesn't seem to fit him. Although I would love to see Harry and Hermione end up together I don't think they ever will. It will probably be Ron and hermione and I think Harry will date a litte in his life but either he will die or the one he falls in love with will so he'll end up dieing unmarried.

Ron is not bi. Like GS said, he was jealous because Hermione wouldn't go to the Yule Ball with him. The only reason he likes Krum is because he's a star.

Ron and Hermione will probably end up together, even though they quarrel so much. Sometimes behavior like that is a cover up for deeper feelings. Ron did ask Hermione to the Yule Ball/

I really don't think Harry will end up with Cho, they just don't seem right for each other. He'll probably end up with Ginny, or someone else, but probably Ginny.

Can someone please explain to me how they can see Harry and Ginny together? I just can't. As I said before she's Ron's little sister and that would just be weird for Ron and Harry. It's just weird to me. Also Harry doesn't like Ginny. Yes, she's madly in love with him but he doesn't return the feelings.

But that's the point of bisexuality - you go for both girls and boys.

Ron bisexual? No way. Or perhaps I'm missing some evidence towards that - if anyone has any evidence from the books, I'd love to see.

And I do think Harry and Ginny will end up together. Or, if not Ginny, Harry will end up with no one (no love interest, that is).

However, Rowling has stated that Ginny has a more important role in the next books, so...

I also think Ron and Hermione will end up together. All the evidence is clearly there - not to mention that I was listening to an interview with Rowling the other day, and someone asked if "Harry and Hermione would ever go on a date". Rowling's answer: "No, Harry and Hermione are very platonic friends. However, I can't say the same about Hermione and someone else."

Besides...Harry gets everything else, Ron should at least get the girl.

Cheers,
--Lupin

(additional: I just thought of this. If Ron and Hermione get together, and if Harry and Ginny together, then we'll have one, huge, extended Weasley family. And Mrs. Weasley would be positively delighted if H & G got together, I think. --L)

Would no one else find it weird if Harry and Ginny ended up together?

I wouldn't say it's weird, exactly...it would just wrap everything up far too nicely. This is all assuming that Harry lives through book seven.

Also, during books five, six, and seven, I'm very much doubting that Harry is going to have the time to devote to Ginny to make them into something more than friends. The only reason that I think Ron and Hermione will be able to is becuase they work so closely together, and are always near one another. Harry will be far too busy to be going out on dates and such with Ginny...who, lest we forget, is a year behind HRH.

And anyways...the hero doesn't *always* get a girl.

Thats true, but I would like to see Harry end up with someone, and he can't die until the relative end of the 7th book. Unless, he got killed but it was kind of like Obi Won Canobi (dont know how to spell that) were he's dead but he can still talk to the someone and Ron ends up saving the day.
