I've got too much hair

Postby Cougie » Friday 27 June 2003 3:09:49pm

It's really annoying.
Two problems with my hair:
1. There are too many strands.
2. Each strand is too thick.
The problem is there are no remedies for promoting hair loss and there are no anti-volume shampoos...
The barber uses one of those thinning shears that reduces the volume but I'll have all these shorter strands sticking out of longer ones.
I lose a fair bit of hair when I shower sometimes but that's not enough.
Anyone got a solution? :???:

Anti frizz and LOADS of conditioner - that will do it.

Erm, shave your head?

If not, then I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of anti-volume shampoos and conditioner out there. I have curly/wavy hair that can get kind of annoying sometimes, so I use this Clinique straightening creame that helps to calm it down.

And if nothing else works and you truly don't like that way your hair looks, then go for a hat! ;)

Definitly try lots of conditioner. I think that Physique (is that how you spell it :???: straightening products control hair really well, maybe you could try some of those shampoos and styling goop :)

I keep waiting for a counter-thread--"I don't have enough hair"--to start up!

Seriously, I'm really not trying to make light of your problem. Unruly hair can be really bothersome! The best I can suggest is getting it cut short...the less hair you have, generally the less maintenance. As Blaise suggested, a hat always helps as well!

It sounds like you've gotten some good suggestions here...I hope something works for you, and you have more managable hair! Best of luck! :D

I only just noticed this thread, and trust me i have similar probs! my hair is really thick, and annoys the hell outta me cause it aint properly straight or wavy!
anyways your answer is a pair of £100 (yes i know it's a lot) GHD ceramic hair straighteners. they literally will have your hair looking all straight and shiny and perfect in like 15 minutes! i praise whoever it was that invented them!

Sorry to double post, but well i just had a very dippy moment where i didn't check to see if you were a guy or a girl. and well now that i'm guessing that you're a guy straitned prob isn't the way to go!
but never-the-less i still recommend the straightners to al the girlies on here!
but bk to ur problem, there are plenty of anti-frizz type stuff on the market, just find one to suit ur hair!
