How can i talk about it?

Postby han lin » Thursday 25 September 2003 8:37:37pm

OH MY GOD

well

this is a long story and after one of my previous problems, it'll probbably make you think that there are like HUNDEREDS of s*x offenders in my town. well no there aren't, just two its just been my misfortune to know both of them.

The first guy is on the other problem

This guy is called Gav. He is not a very nice guy at all and i would never have spoken to him normally but as i had had a few drinks and i was close to his younger brother (who was in my class for 4 years) i talked to him one night. OH MY GOD. he was pushing me on the floor etc and NOT letting me get up. Nothing happened and i thought nothing really of it.

But TWO DAYS after, there were some really HARSH rapes in my town. of an old pensioner and a 32 year old. also the guy beat up the woman's husband ( the elderly lady) .

The guy who did it was gav.

I don't even know how to talk to his brother. I haven't seen him around a whole lot. It must be so horrible for him to have such an animal for a brother. I really don't know how to approach him . Some people know about how gav was being a wierdo but i dont want his brother to think i hate him because of something he didn't do. I just cant think of what to say to him.

you don't have to reply. i just had to write it down because ithas been driving me INSANE.

( also another thing that GETS ME SO ANGRY is that gav was on drugs when he did all that stuff, so his sentance will probbably be reduced.)

Tell Gavs brother that u still like him and its not his fault what his brother did. I do sympathise with you, i wouldn't really be too sure where to start either.

tell his brother simply what you think, that it isn't his fault, and that you aren't holiding it against him. then you will be able to talk "normally" I guess. maybe he needs someone to talk about it with ?

are you still close with his brother?

I think you should go to the police as well, that guy belongs in prison, and it might reduce the reducing if you tell the police what he did to you.

uhm you don't want to hurt his brother but you want that freak in prison.. it's probably best to talk with his brother about it all. Like Ju said, maybe he needs someone to talk to?
if my brother had done such things, I would want him to serve time in prison for his crimes no matter how much I love him..
take care

ask his brother what he thinks about it, wether he believes his brother deserves it or not. And you must decide if he has had sufficient punishement, you are the only one who can decide wether your story can/should make a difference.

Thats really horrible for you Han, i think that you should not worry about his brother and do what feels best for you.
I know that his brother has done nothing wrong tho, so try and be as supportive of him as you can, he has a lot to deal with as well.

Yup I agree with violet, gecko,Ju and Gower. You should tell his brother (your friend) about what Gav nearly did to you. I know it is hard to tell his brother, maybe you should think about whether your friend is protective about Gav or what? Sometimes, ppl will deny the truth and only look at the other side. Is Gav arrested or what? I'm not sure about you reporting that incident to the police becos you will end up in courts testifying against Gav...and his lawyer will rebuke you...saying you are drunk or whatever...
(am I making things worse?)

i have decided not to go to the police.

Gav has been arrested and i hope he rots. I couldn't handle going to court. The lawyer would rip me up and i dont want to make things bad for the prosecution.

I havent seen his brother for ages and its wierd. its not the sort of thing you bring up in normal conversations.."oh yeah by the way your brother attacked me.."

yikes.

I think i may just leave it. Sorry to be a pain just kinda needed to shout it all out.

thankyou all
