there is no evidence though! i can't see dumbledore breaking rules like that anyway

i can see where you are comming from but hagrid has been there for a while. and dumbledore is so mysterious. Plus he was a transfiguration teacher he would know how todo it. he could have been giving hagrid private lessons

i really don´t think that hagrid is an unregistered animagus...he would have told the trio...he can´t keep secrets very well...

In the book Hagrid seemed to suggest that he used magic to fly over to the island. Perhaps a simple levitation charm would have done the trick.
