I never really thought of it that way, but I think that you're right, PITA. DD said that he valued his students above his own life.

Phoenix in the Ashes said:
I am 100% certain that Dumbledore sacrificed himself for Draco. Snape and Draco made an Unbreakable Vow:

Snape did what he did to save his own life, and Draco's.

He did what had to be done to save his own life, just as he always has done.

Dumbledore wouldn't have wanted to have Draco's life sacrificed for his. He was too noble.

I agree with you 100%, Harry proubly'd do the same thing for Draco even though he hates his guts, maybe not up to the point of dieing for him... he's just a hero, what can you say?

Hmm, that's an interesting discussion point. Would Harry die to save Draco's life?

I don't know if he would...

I don't think that he would. Harry may be a hero but he knows that he has a greater mission and if he died to save malfoy than he wouldn't be able to deafeat voldemort.

This is true, YKW, but I think that Harry would do all that he could to save Draco.

Harry saved Dudley from the dementors once before and we all know that Harry hates Dudley. But Dudley is an innocent muggle and Harry's blood relative, I doubt that he would willingly sacrifice himself for Draco. Draco is now a true follower of Voldemort like his father and for harry that goes beyond the point of humanity.
I think that up to this point snape was supposed to be a character who's true intentions were unknown and he himself was not sure what side he was on. I believe Snape has always just done what has been of the most benefit to him, thats why he joined with Dumbledore when the most powerful wizard (voldy) was defeated. But now that Voldemort is gaining strength again Snape had to make a decision and stop playing two sides.
I think that his killing of Dumbledore was the final statement of JK to say that Snape has finally chosen the evil side. And I do believe Snape is evil because Harry instincts have always told us that there is something wrong about Snape and as Harry is the hero of all of this I trust his instincts.

Harry does NOT hate, Dudley! And you have to rmember the fear and uncertainty in Draco's eyes. He was about to agree with Dumbledore! Harry acknowledges this and clings to it at the end of the 6th book. And Draco never did his job which means that he is not a dull Death Eater. Severus went behind Voldemort's back and made an Unbreakable Vow saying that he would help and protect Draco to Narcissa and he did so. Now both Severus and Draco are not in Voldemort's good graces. Nor can Severus be accepted into the Other Side to easily. They are both on the run.

When the world starts trusting the instincts of Harry Potter we'll be in big trouble.

There has always been something wrong about snape. And it doesn't matter what his reasons for killing DD were, he did it and noones going to believe him or forgive him, especially when he's been a shady character the whole time!
