Is Tom Riddle Voldemort or his father, because in Book 2 it says that he is Voldemort, and yet in Book 4 at the end they're at Tom Riddles's grave and it is said that this is "the father". So, which is he? :???:

I think Tom Marvolo Riddle is Lord Voldemort. If you rearrange the letters, it spells I AM LORD VOLDEMORT. He was named after his father, I believe, hence why he says something about his father in the fourth book.

Tom Marvolo Riddle is Voldemort (well the one you see in book 2 in the chamber is) but the reason he rearranged his name into 'I am Lord Voldemort' is because he was named after his muggle father called Tom Riddle

because his muggle father abandoned him to the muggle orphanage Voldemort changes his name and kills his father's side of the family

then in book 4 ur taken to his fathers grave so that voldemort can use his father's bones to make himself a new body

Voldemort's mother named him Tom Riddle after his father just before she died. At school Voldemort was kinda like his nickname among his friends

However... i knoe Lupin, Sirius, Peter, James, McGonnagall and all that appeared after them... but what about Arthur and Molly Weasley?! Were they around with Voldemort at skool?!

Molly talks about when she was at skool in book4, but is ne1 aware of the exact timeline??

mcgonagall is 70 years old (J K Rowling said so in an interview) so she must have probably been just leaving when voldemort just started school
