What if Hagrid was alowed to use magic ?

What if Hagrid hadn't been falsly accused in the second book, and still had a wand and the right to use magic, what sort of magician would he have become ? would he be powerful ?

If he had been allowed to finish Hogwarts, I guess he would have been a much greater asset to Dumbledore when they were fighting Voldemort the first time.
Is it mentioned somewhere how he fared at school? I think he was a bit Neville-like, only good in subjects that really fascinate them (cf. Herbology for Neville and Care of Magical Creatures for Hagrid).

As to what kind of wizard he would have become, I think it's a fair guess that he would have gone to Romania and work with dragons, just like Charly (Weasley)!

if hagrid hadn't been falsley accused, i wonder if he'd still be at hogwarts now at all. i mean, the only reason he's there in the first place is because he got expelled and DD believed in him and stuff. so, if he wouldn't have been expelled i don't think he'd be at hogwarts at all. where he'd be or what he'd be doing i don't know. also. i wonder how that would affect harry's life too. he really relies on hagrid. hmm...

I dont think he would be in hogwarts at all. He would be in some forigen place taming the untaimed. He would be really famous too, but maybe him being a giant would interfear in his carrier.

He has to be at Hogwarts to 'not be falsely accused and to not get expelled'. So you think he would have left Hogwarts himself, so that he could do something with animals (or something else)?
