I've added a modification to the board tonight so that only users with a minumum of 10 posts can add their website and signature to their profile. This, plus a little bit more, should (hopefully) stop the fake users who have been appearing recently, with profiles set up solely to add their website to their profile.
BaO's Mods to whom much gratitude is due and given, and also lilttle me have been watching for such spam carefully and will continue to do so. Constant vigilance will out-prevail the spammers!

Ha!
That's a good idea, actually.
Although I can't imagine spammers writing the minimum 10 posts... it seems to me as though they could easily do it within a few minutes with one-liners.
Though I don't think they'd bother...

Considering the amount of spammers that seem to be going around at the moment, I think it's a good idea to keep any eye on members who post lots of one-liners or irrelevant posts. Many of the problem new "members" have been bots though, which the modifications should deal with very effectively.
