Matrix Revolutions (deadly to enter if u haven't seen it)

Ok, so I have finally waited for the final installment of the Matrix and seen it.
So how was it for everyone else?

The fightings CGI were great especially the war zone of the machines and the defenders of Zion. Ok, there is one thing I have to admit...
what the heck happened between Neo and Smith? The both of them just simply got "erased" (???) urgh...what kind of ending is that...

i was really disapoointed with it actually, i didnt like the fact that both trinity and neo died. but then at the end when the oracle said that she thought they would probably see him again. so what's with that??
i think that they could have easily combined the second and third films together, and not had such a cr*p ending.

I haven't seen it(took all my courage to enter this thread  ) but as there aren't many posts in it yet i should be safe. My mum is the only person in the family who has seen it and she said it was a big disappointment because she didn't like the fighting and didn't understand it.

ok, well a few things, Neo had to die to balance out Smith, this was essential because he was a christ figure, and you notice how everyone in the matrix was Smith, Smith=Sin its self, therefor, Neo sacrafices himself to save the entire human race from sin, so he had to die, and people have said that he will rise again in 3 days just like christ, well i'll tell you that this is hooey, he already rose again, it was when he got out of the train station, if you notice it was a MOBIL station, which is an anagram for LIMBO, or where christ went after the first time he died, neither alive nor completely dead, and it is a misconception in christianity that when christ died on the cross, he forgave sin, it was actually when he returned to heaven, because even with all that sin he was allowed back in. and trinity had to die, to show the sacrafice, and besides, how is she going to get back to zion all alone

wow...I didn't think too much about that into religion
I just knew Neo and Smith are considered as one entity, they can't survive without each other...that is how I see it...

But I simply don't like the fact Neo and Trinity have to die :-(
So how come the war ended? I thought the machine was all out to exterminate human? Neo made a pact with the machine "leader" that he will defeat Smith who threaten the survival of human as well as the machines...so...why can't Neo destroy the machine once and for all...
plus the ending conversation between The Oracle and The Architect suggests the peace won't last for long...

A little disappointing but a great movie none the less.

What I didn't like about it was that there were too much Real World and not enough Matrix and a lack of bullet time.

Reloaded is my favourite out of the three.
Love the Burly Brawy and the Freeway Chase.

choki, its not that the machines wanted to kill the humans just for fun, they had a definite reason, it was to keep the balance so there would be no survivors when the matrix reset its self (through the one going back to the source or not) because the machines have to have people in the matrix to have energy, and the matrix makes The One. What the deal was, was that everyone in the matrix gets informed about the outside world and they get to choose, but they also know that the real world sucks. When the architecht says the peace will not last, i think he is refering to the fact that because there is still a matrix, there must be a new One, or he's wrong, and because Smith and Neo merged, it balanced the "unbalanced equation" and eliminated the need for the One.

Just a side note, you remember the first movie, when morpheus is explaining the matrix to neo inside the computer and he says somthing along the lines of "in the beggining, there was a man, born inside the matrix who could change it to his will, it was he who released the first of us" if you havn't noticed this is the fifth one (neo being the sixth), he chose to go back to the source, and picked his 16 women and 7 men

yes definatly, but read no more of this topic, lest it ruin the movie for you

i just saw the movie again tonight, and i noticed somthing i didn't last time. At the end of the movie, after all of the Smiths have exploded, it shows the crater with neo lying in it, and then shows a close up of him, right.......WRONG. on further examination, it is actually the oracle in the puddle, meaning that neo was fighting the oracle in the last fight, and this is why neo let himself be assimilated by Smith. He knew it was the oracle near the end of the fight when Smith said "I've seen this, this is where it ends. You are lying right there, and i stand, i stand right here, and i say somthing, i say 'Everything that has a beggining has an end neo' no no thats not right..." why he said the thing in subquotes, he knew it was the oracle for 2 reasons. 1)the oracle had said this to him earlier in the movie and 2)Smith called him neo, which he never had, he had always called neo mr. anderson

thanks for putting up with all my rants about the matrix, i really love this trilogy
