June 21 and this forum: what's the plan?

Postby Lizzy Bennet » Saturday 14 June 2003 12:17:33am

I was wondering . . . is this place going to be a ghost town on June 21? Will there be a specific section that all book 5 information will go in so that we can look at other parts of the forum or will we all have to stay away until we've finished reading the book? I was just wondering how that's going to be handled! :???:

I'd be sad to stay away entirely while reading, but then again, I wouldn't want to get spoiled WHILE reading the book either! Paul, what are your thoughts? I'll be interested to see what's going to happen here and whether or not it'll be at all 'safe' to visit while I'm reading the book (meaning all book 5 stuff will be in one place and I can just avoid that area), or if I'll have to stay away entirely. Do tell!

Yes, there will be a special dedicated forum area solely for book 5. Don't worry, if you don't want to find out about what happens you'll be able to just stay away from that particular forum area. Any discussion regarding book 5 must go in that area once it is added to the forum. :)

RAD! You rock, Paul! :D I'm sure the mods will be on the lookout for stray postings as well as you . . . I'm glad I don't have to avoid this place full-stop, but I still plan on avoiding violet high, seeing as she still wants to rub it in how she'll have the book before me!

Ah, the inhumanity of it all!  hehehehe It's all good...no bad feelings...I hope you enjoy the book while I don't have it  ...in whatever rainy weather you have. tee-hee-hee

Methinks the biggest boasters (understandably, too! ) would be all the New Zealand/Australia posters who get it *way* before anyone! haha

I think Paul wrote something about creating a 'Book 5 section' for everything to do with Book 5 so people wouldn't have to avoid this place full-stop. :) I just know the lovely Miss Violet will be PMing me/e-mailing me with how she has the book before me! Such terrible friends I choose! hehehehe Teasing!

Yeah actually! From recollection, I think that it took about a whole day to read GoF, so OOTP should be around the same!

Lol, I heard that some lady was going for the speed reading record and reading the book straight through in two hours! Oh, to have a special talent like that...:D. Alas, will just have to suffice with my normal reading speed!

I like reading at normal speed as well, i mean if you read that quick then you wouldn't get to enjoy it for as long!!!
