Temporary Closure of BaO whilst Moving to New Server

As some members are aware from my posts regarding the forum size and obtainability, I've been intending to move BaO to a larger server for quite a while. Finally, the time has come for the big move.


The new server will provide an huge amount of extra space and very significant extra bandwith - enough for the forum to continue to grow for the forseeable future.

In order for the transition to the new server to occur, the forum will be closed from approximately 11.30PM GMT on 2 October 2003. I'm expecting the down-time to be between 7 to 14 days (sorry all, I was hoping for a much shorter down-time but technical situations mean that the 7 to 14 day period is the most likely timescale).

Although the site is moving to the new server, once everything is back up and running, you'll still be able to find the forum at the same old-faithfull address: http://www.broomsticksandowls.com/forum
