oh i don't know. fred and george are great, but i loved the scene with james playing with the snitch and trying to get lily's attention. reminded me strongly of someone i know and love.
also, the makers of the marauders map must be given a little bit of an edge in this contest. without them, fred and george wouldn't have been half as successful!

Ooooh sooo hard! I really love Fred and George, they're just so awesome!

But I agree with Lelie, if it were not for the Marauders, Fred and George would not be as succesful.

Now of the three Marauders, I have to go with Sirius, for obvious reasons. He's just so damn hot! I just love Snape's Worst Memory just because you get to see a haughty, gorgeous Sirius and it's just *melts into a puddle of goo* Don't get me wrong, I love James and Lupin as well, but Lupin wasn't much of a trouble maker on his own. I'd like the option to vote for both Sirius and James, because they were inseparable and no doubt provided the necessary steam for one another.

I get the feeling Fred and George were just born to be different, and Fred's my favourite troublemaker.
I think that if they hadn't found that map, although it would've been a set-back, they still would've found the passageways out of the school.
Maybe it would of taken a while, but let's face it, James and Sirius must have found them sometime, and they didn't have a map to help them.

Hold on a tic, when did James and Sirius become the only marauders?

What about Remus? He had to have been a marauder for a reason. My theory is that Remus was the one to either A) come up with the pranks and make sure all the loose ends were.. er, not loose, or B) improve the pranks and make sure they go off without a hitch. It just seems like Remus' thing, to make sure they don't get caught. Because of course he's just as mischievous as James and Sirius. He's just better at playing innocent!

There has to be a reason for why his name is first on the map, right?

I don't think that anyone was saying that Remus wasn't a marauder, just that he was not among their favorite marauders.

I can see Lupin and Sirius teaching Harry all sorts of minor, funny jinxes, different pranks, and other ways of making trouble, you know, if it the world wasn't about to end. As Curiouser said, Lupin was probably the one that kept everyone out of trouble, or at least himself, because you never hear mention of him being in detention. He'd be the one to teach Harry to wriggle out of detentions like he undoubtedy did. I still think he'd teach him all this if he had stayed at the Defence teacher, because that would be the ultimate test that Harry had been paying attention to the "not getting caught" lesson.

Oh, I'd love to get my hands on Sirius' and James' detention files. *goes off into daydream*

I do love Sirius. I am wishing for some way for him to come back. He and the other marauders must have been quite ingenious to come up with that map. They must have been the class clowns of Hogwarts in their time.

But, for the current time, you can't get any better than Fred and George. They have made all these different candies and products and their exit in OotP was fabulous.

Oh Sirius...
