Heheheh.... just picked it up.

Read it slowly to catch every word (rather than getting too excited and rushing through it, having to go back and read it again 10 times... like did 8) ).

Opening to Order of the Phoenix (Bloomsbury Publishers):
"The hottest day of the summer so far was drawing to a close and a drowsy silence lay over the large, square houses of Privet Drive...The only person left outside was a teenage boy who was lying flat on his back in a flowerbed outside number four."

And to get fans into the hype, Bloomsbury released this teaser:
"Dumbledore lowered his hands and surveyed Harry through his half-moon glasses. 'It is time,' he said, 'for me to tell you what I should have told you five years ago, Harry. Please sit down. I am going to tell you everything.'"

Oh, and forgot the link:
http://www.bloomsburymagazine.com/harrypotter/wizard/section/news.asp

Although...
Bloomsbury Magazine wrote:Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is over one third longer than J K Rowling's extraordinary previous book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

But then
Bloomsbury Magazine wrote:The new book is 38 chapters long, one more than Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I dunno my maths, someone else figure it out for me.

(Soree about having to write 3 posts on my behalf, if onli Edit and Delete were still around.)
Paul, do I need maths to be a moderator? I'm on a lot anyway, don't see too many of em around either)

For me it only means that the chapters are longer!

i already posted a thread about this in books....

i did work it out...

on words its over a 1/3 longer than gof

on chapters it definately isnt so the chapters must be on average longer than in gof....

and on pages its under a 1/3 longer (britain) not sure about everywhere else though....

bit confusing....

lol - no, just a clean record of no problems here at B&O - I think you'd be a fine moderator, Draco, even without the maths! Is there a particular forum(s) that you'd prefer to moderate?

Well... I've seen ppl here post stuff that's not Harry Potter related and sometimes just doesn't feel right posting it in the Great Hall. Could u possibly open a 'The Muggle World' forum or sumfing? :P
— For sharing miscellaneous stuff like games, other movies, music, theories, jokes, philosophical ideas =P etc.

If its not possible, I'd prolly go with 'The Movies'
Fancy that... me a moderator :o

Yes, the Great Hall is the place for all general stuff, including discussions about Hogwarts and Harry or anything else in the outside world.

So I've opted for your Movies choice - Many congratulations Draco - you're now Moderator of the Movies forum!!!

Virtually spotless Sonkem (rubs tiny spot off Sonkem's record)...there...totally spotless! Do you want to be a moderator? I think you'd be a totally excellent one too.
