When and How You Got the New Book (NO SPOILERS!!)

Went at 12 AM to get it. Long lines....

i ordered online at bn.com hopng to get it on the saturday of the release, but foolishly did not order it next day air and had to wait till monday to get it. but then when i got it i went straight to work.. apx. 200+ pgs/day and had it donw on thursday!

I ordered it from Amazon the day before it's release and got it on the Wednesday after. I wasn't the affected be the wait as I was still reading Hannibal by Thomas Harris until the day before it arrived and as I only read my first HP in March of this year I've only had a three month wait as opposed to three years. Still read it in a day though, kinda wished I'd dragged it out now.

Gwared, you're burning up 'The Great Hall' section with posts! hehe I'll be interested to see what you have to post in the book 5 sections about the new book. I, like you, only started reading the Harry Potter books at the beginning of this year , so like you, I'll be adjusting to a much longer wait . . . here's hoping book #6 comes out in 2005, not 2006! By the way, did anyone else (besides those who have posted) go to a Harry Potter party at a local bookstore the night before the release? I did, and it was great fun!
