Fear of creepy crawlers...a cockroach in sight and I'll be off hiding under the blanket. Yikes, can you imagine you are changing back to your uniform attire after a phyiscal exercise lesson (normally just putting on your skirt back) and a bunch (30+) cockroaches suddenly emerges from a nearby sewer opening...you have no place to run, and you can't run since you're halfway wearing your skirt! That happened to me and the entire class of girls...haha

Fear of heights...not too sure about that but I can feel my legs shaking a little when looking down from tall places. But I sat on a ride (with logs and water. Forgot the name of that ride) 3 times in a single day and an indoor roller coaster but it's dark inside, so I can't see the height but I can't see where I'm going...so I hit the sides and the safety handle whenever it turn too violently.

Oh I used to fear dentists as well...from a nasty childhood experience...until my dad forced me to visit one recently...and it's rather painless nowadays... :x why did I have to be born so early to suffer when I was young...

When I was a little kid, my dad told me about quicksand and carbon monoxide, and I was terrified of them. My room was right next to the garage and whenever someone left, I'd be so afraid that they left the garage door closed. I'd also be afraid that there would be quicksand under my bed and it would pull me and my bed down, drowning me in my sleep. I know, it's ridiculous, but I seriously believed it.

Now I'm a bit more levelheaded and I don't really have any serious phobias. I'm a tiny bit claustrophobic, like I'd freak out if I couldn't move in a sleeping bag or something. And lately I've been kinda scared of driving close behind cars at high speeds. I'm so scared that they would abruptly stop and I'd slam into them. :o I'm also a bit doctor-phobic. I can't stand going to the doctors, even if it's a little yearly check-up.

I have quite the list of phobias. Here they are:
1. Achluophobia - Fear of darkness.I'm terrified of the dark. I can't stand being in the dark. It's really weird because I used to be able to stand the dark when I was younger. I was around 10 when I started developing the fear.

2.Automatonophobia - ventriloquist's dummies, wax statues ...etc. These things frighten me so much! Argh! I can't stand them!

3.Autophobia - Fear of being alone. It's simple, I just can't be alone. I get scared and...it's just all around unpleasant for me.

There's more.....I'll save them for the next post.

glass elevators... I've seen those only in movies. But I would probably get sick in those. I just hate when elevator starts going and "lands". Thank feeling in my stomach :o

I agree with you on the glass elevator issue! I can't stand being in one. Or standing on glass. ex. Have any of you have been to the CN Tower and stepped on the glass floor? Because that was one of the scariest things I've ever seen. I couldn't step on it and when my cousin and sister did, I was shouting "Get off, it's going to break!" the entire time.

hey, I love riding those glass elevators. Perhaps you all should look somewhere far ahead. Ooooh, and I like those that goes 10 storeys in 5 sec
As for that glass breaking, FairyTale you've seen too much of horror movies :evil grin: but that scene in The Lost World: Jurassic Park was terrifying especially the sound of glass breaking :o

I don't really have phobias, but there are some things I really don't like, e.g. sharp knives (I hate cutting anything with knives, I always fear I cut myself, but strangely I love swords...) and doctors (long story why).

My biggest fear is fire. I'm terrified of it. Imagine it.... what if your house burned down... think of everything you'd loose. I have a cat and I love her so much ( ) I don't know what I'd do if I had to leave her in the house. All that hard work on a house and all that money down the drain. I never light candles or a match or anything.... I'm always so scared of it and have nightmares.

This "fear" isn't as big but I'm afraid of talking to strangers over the phone or in person. Ask my friends... it's a bit weird. :-? My friend had to go and buy my ice cream cause I didn't want to talk to the guy. And I hate answering the phone unless it's one of my friends. Idk, I guess I'm weird that way.
