Oh, I used to have a paper journal, when I was between 12 and... 15-16 maybe. And I started one a year ago, but I only wrote there when I was in a bad mood. I find this one good, because I spend the most time in front of the computer now, so I get the chance to write more often.

I still use the paper one too, but mostly for more private things and often when I'm not feeling well. LJ is more for fun since you have friends there and they can answer to your posts and discuss with you.
