I have a 2 1/2 year old little boy, and we're in the very beginning stages of potty-training him. We read all the books and articles we could find, went out and let him help pick out a potty seat and a stepstool, and have been sitting him on the toilet every hour or so for the last three or four days, trying to encourage him to go tee-tee in the potty. He finally did it this morning! I started dancing around the bathroom and clapping my hands going "YAY!!! CAMERON WENT TEE-TEE IN THE POTTY!!!!" and generally making a fool out myself (don't worry, when you have kids, you'll be doing the same thing), then Cameron went running around the house with no underpants on yelling "TEE-TEE! TEE-TEE!" So I thought, "Hey, we should call my husband at work and tell him" (my husband hates that he misses all the milestones). So I dialed my husband's number and handed Cameron the phone, and he started jibbering (he doesn't talk very clearly yet), so he was holding the phone up to his ear going "Oy-a-oy-a-oy-a-Daddy-oy-a-tee-tee-oy-a-potty!" I let him talk for about a minute longer, then I took the phone, and all I heard was laughing. Cameron had very proudly told the guy in the cubicle next to my husband that he had gone tee-tee in the potty. What happened was that my husband was across the room, and his coworker picked up his phone to buy Todd enough time to get back to his cubicle.
Luckily, the guy had a four-year-old son, so he completely understood why we were so excited, but I was pretty mortified that I had just had Cameron tell Todd's coworker that he'd gone tee-tee in the potty.
