this could be a dangerous topic, so don't bash names too much, just in case someone in here has that name.

oooh...this is a touchy one...

I basically hate the majority of trendy names that were popular in the 1980's (mine wasn't one, so naturally I adore my name...tee hee hee) I won't list them because people probably have them and i don't want to offend anyone

Hmmm, not sure if you're saying I have dry humour or if you don't appreciate mine. Oh well...I honestly can't say I have names I hate...there is beauty in every name...I have a hard time choosing names for that very reason...and let's face it, what's out of style today will probably come back in 20 years...just think, someday, everyone's grandmother will be named Natalie, Jessica, and Ashley and all their grandaughters may be Maude, Ethel, and Minna!

Hmmm, well, I've already seen my father's name and my own middle name (though not my first name), but I'm not offended - just a matter of taste. My own real first name was quite popular in the decade I was born in, and rather doubt it will appear.

My choices reflect people that I have had the most discord with in the world. It's personal against those people, not to people with that name in general.

Male: Joshua, Mark
Female: Patty (Patricia), Darla

I would never name any of my own children them because of the reminders from my past.

hm, there are names of which I actually think as quite pretty but which are so common that I can't hear them any more...
For example, in my grade, there are 8 girls named Katharina and almost as many Kathrins.
