Problems getting to the forum on Aug. 27

did anyone else have problems getting to the forum yesterday?? i tried to type the webpage and it just came up as some error

Yeah I got that...I was posting and then the Three Broomsticks crashed. Afterwards I couldn't access anything.

I had the problem, though not on Aug 27, but earlier, like a week ago, or smthg. Let's pray Lil'Monster won't get furious, cause we done nothing to her... And she's behaving very well, nowadays... I hope she keeps quiet

l'il Monster is the name that Paul has given to the server that this forum is hosted on.
There have been spells where L'il Monster has gone rather berserk, eating whole threads and users as well.
One time the entire Great Hall disappeared.
Luckily Paul backs up everything so he can usually calm L'il Monster down and restore order.

Speaking of Paul...I haven't seen the fellow around very much lately. Posting wise, I mean. So, if you read this Paul, leave us a post! Because I've forgotten what your avy looks like! Lol...I'll stop now, but seriously, I haven't seen him around.

Sorry I've not been around much lately. Lots of stuff to deal with at the moment but I've still been keeping an eye on Li'l Monster. There were two or three database crashes in the last few weeks which were probably the problems reported in this thread. Sorry for any temporary down-time.

I've got quite a few PMs right now so apologies too if it takes a few days to reply to anyone who has Pm'd me.

I think it was Mint who came up with the name for Li'l Monster by the way. Seemed very suitable so everyone including me quickly started referring to the server by her name (at least I think Li'l Monster is female).

Well, maybe the monster is a he, and we've been calling it a she, therefore that's why (s)he's attacking us.
