I have also heard that, and I think that an epilogue is an excellent way to end her series. Not only does it close the door on having more stories since it satisfies the readers into a final "What Happens Next" it is entirely possible to keep going on tangents with minor characters and events (such as the Comic Relief Books) if JKR wishes to do so. An excellent (but raunchy) example of an epilogue is the ending scenes of "National Lampoon's Animal House". There it goes through what happens to each of the frat brothers after college graduation. It explains to the viewers what happened, yet it also makes stories run through their minds of how each of their characters got to that status and how they are fairing.

Yea, an epilogue would end it well, and I love Animal house, too! However, JKR barely ever leaves the readers wondering for too long (eg if we don't get the answer by the end of one book, it will undoubltedly be resolved in the next book) therefor, I think we'll get something like that if she says we will(I didn't see the interview) but we'll probably get a good deal of details about it.

What do you think of these book 6 and book 7 rumours?

Obviously, some aren't very likely, but I have always wondered what houses Peter, James, Sirius, Remus, and Lily were in. I've always thought that James and Lily were in Gryffindor, Sirius in Slytherin, Remus in Ravenclaw, and Peter in Hufflepuff, but this idea of James and Sirius being in Slytherin is very interesting...if that's true, perhaps when Harry finds out how James redeemed himself to become Head Boy (and win Lily) and thinks about how his beloved Godfather was in Slytherin, his perspective of Slytherin (and maybe even Snape!) will change...

JK has put the rumour about the Maurauders houses. They were all in Gryffindor. I can't remember about Lily right now but I'm sure she was a Gryffindor too.

prongs does fit with a stag. Stags have antlers- which are bony projections from the skull, which cold be refered to as prongs

My point exactly. Some of the people who wrote those rumours on that site are idiots.
