i think i read somewhere that JKR stated that harry will not become an animagi like his father. I'm sure i've read it on a website somewhere i just can't remember which. sorry! :-?

No, I doubt he will/ would become animagi. But it would add intrest to the story. But I highly doubt it.

I don't know about Harry, but it seems he will not become an animagi. As for Hermione, I believe she could become one. And maybe an otter, because it is an animal JKR says she like and Hermione's Patronus has the shape of an otter.

Aren't animagi really rare. I thought I remembered reading that there were only 7 registered in the last century. I doubt any of the characters will become animagi

I remember reading on a website too (I think it was the Leaky Cauldron) that Ms Rowling has stated firmly that Harry won't become an animagi. She didn't say anything about Ron or Hermione though...

i don't see any reason why muggle borns shouldn't become animagi. but i think if anyone out of harry, hermione and ron should become an animagus it would be hermione, she has the brains for it!
