ok, theres rumours everywhere...and i found an article on The Sun website that....

Lee to be Dumbledore

ACTOR Christopher Lee is tipped to take over Richard Harris’s role of Professor Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films.


The Dracula star, 80, is a “strong favourite” to replace Harris — who died last Friday aged 72.

Executives said Lee — a Bond villain in The Man With The Golden Gun — “fits the bill of Dumbledore perfectly”.

Lee was originally asked to be Dumbledore but refused because he was too busy.

Harris stand-in Harry Robinson is also in the running to land the role for the third film Prisoner of Azkaban, filmed next spring. Warner Bros will make an announcement this weekend.

He might be okay. I do think that the guy that played Gandalf would be better. Christopher Lee plays too many villains. He's good at that. I just can't picture him as someone good.

They can't have the guy who played Gandalf to play Dumbledore. That would be stupid. The same guy playing two wizards in two different films? No way.

Maybe Chris Lee will be okay.

um christopher lee plays a wizard in lotr...saruman is a wizard....

[color=red]I think Christopher Lee is a great actor, but I agree with Shadow: he usually plays villains, so I'll have some trouble picturing him as DD. I think I have the images of him beating up on Gandalf permanently instilled in my mind, lol. He does have a lot of experience though, so hopefully, if he does play DD, he'll prove to be versatile (Wow, I used a couple of big words there )

I also kind of agree that it would be really strange to have Ian McKellen play DD because I thought about Gandalf and DD being similar when I first read the books, and since they're both these good, wise wizards, it'll just, I don't know, make HP look even more similar to tLoTR than it already is. If Chris Lee gets the role, I don't think it will be as weird becuase DD and Saruman aren't that similar.

The thing is, I guess they need some distinguished British actor, and I can't think of anyone else who fits the bill. What do you think? [/color][/i]

before i get to my point I must mention that Christopher Lee played Oddyseus on a version of the Odyssey he was pretty good at it but it was a bad movie. just one instance when he played a good guy.
Now to my point, We must remember that there are plenty of actors whom we have not heard of that might be perfectly able to play DD. I just hope that whoever they get is really energetic. I mean maybe the script just wrote for him to be like he was about to die so he would see more experienced in life or something but I always thought that he would be energetic and bouncy. Idon't know maybe I'm crazy, thats just my opinion. Oh and by the way didn't the director of the movies promise JK Rowling that the entire cast would be British. I think i read that somewhere, so that narrows down the selection. It is really sad thing that DD died
