RPG: Dark Times [Suspended]

"She didn't even notice! She zones out so much when she's on the phone. It's like nothing else exists. Come on, let's go." Alaina said.

Alaina and her friends walked down the stairs and went to find Alaina's parents.

"They're in the kitchen. I'll go tell them you're here. You guys wait here. I'll tell you when to come in."

Alaina left her friends at the bottom of the stairs and opened the kitchen door and went inside.

As Celistine waited for Alaina's parents, she absent-mindedly twirled her hair around her finger.

Sirius went to examine the stereo. She had never seen one before.

"Okay, they said it was all right that you guys are here! And they can't wait to meet Cellistine's parents. They sounded pretty excited about it. I think they're really curious to meet real a real adult witch. Come on into the kitchen and meet them. And you can have some food. Sirius, I can show you how that works later, if you want." Alaina told her friends.

Sirius emerges from a cloud of black dust coughing.
"Cough! Sorry about that,"she wheezes,"Ok."

"OH no!!! Sirius!!! That was the stereo my parents got for their wedding!!! I hope Cellistine's mom will have a way to fix that when she comes tomorrow. But my parents are not going to be happy about that." Alaina moaned.

Alaina's parents come running out of the kitchen and when they see the stereo, their jaws drop.

"What the hell happened here?!" Mr. McMann shouted. "Alaina, you know how much we loved that stero."

"Um, Mum, Dad, these are my friends Cellistine and Sirius," Alaina points to each of her friends as she said their names. "And Sirius accidentally made the stereo explode, but I think Cellistine's mum will be able to fix it when she gets here tomorrow. Right, Cellistine...?"

"Y-yes! I'm sure of it!" Celistine said. "Um, so, how are you?" she asked Mr. and Mrs. McMann. "Good." said Alaina's mom as she looked sadly down at her stereo, "It's nice to meet you."

"I'msorry!"wailedSirius,"I've-never-been-so-up-close-to-one-of-these-in-my-life-but-I-heard-that-they-sang-so-I-was -just-trying-to-meet-the-people-inside-and....!"

"Sirius, there are no people inside of that. I'm going to go get a few sleeping bags and some food and we'll go back upstairs," Alaina said calmly.

Alaina opens the closet and grabs 2 sleeping bags. She then runs into the kitchen and comes back with some chips and bananas.

"Okay, let's go. Good night Mum, Dad," Alaina said.

Alaina and her friends walk back upstairs to her room.

"Sorry!"cries Sirius again over her shoulder as she follows Alaina. She then turns to Alaina and asks,"Then who's talking in there?"

Celistine laughed as Max jumped on her and started to lick her face. When Max was satisfied that Celistine's face was food free, she folowed him upstairs with Sirius and Alaina.

Sirius walked into Alaina's room and saw the computer sitting on the desk. She went over to it and started to stare at the blank screen.

"The voices are recordings of people talking and singing. You buy CDs, and when you put the CD in the stereo, it'll play the song or talk show," Alaina explained. "Here, I'll show you a CD."

Alaina walks over to her desk drawer and pulls out a CD. She puts it in her CD player and music fills the room.

"See? And that, on the desk, is a computer. You can do all kinds of stuff on it. It'll be easier if I showed you," Alaina turns on the computer and waits for it to boot up.

"CD players and computers are cool, but nothing beats real magic," Alaina sighed. "I can't wait to get back into the wizarding world."

"How do you get a voice onto a Seedy?"asked Sirius.

"People record it in a recording studio. I can't do it here. I don't have the right equipment. But I do have a tape recorder. A tape is like an earlier form of a CD. I'll have to go find a blank tape. I think there might be one in Annalise's room. Do you want to go with me to find it and maybe you could meet Annalise, if you promise not to blow any of her stuff up. She'd probably hurt you if you did," Alaina told Sirius.
