RPG: Dark Times [Suspended]

"Whoa!" Alaina shouted. She had never seen anyone use the floo network before. Her friends had told her about it, but it was still a shocker.

Max ran over to the fireplace and started barking. "Max! Come back here!" Alaina shouted and Max ran back to her, still growling. "Sorry, I really don't think he's ever seen anyone come out of the fireplace before. Neither have I, for that matter. I'm Alaina, Celistine's friend."

A thundering of footsteps was heard on the stairs. "What the hell was that?" shouted Alaina's dad.

"Mom, Dad, this is Celistine's mom. She's come to get me. She came by floo powder. I've told you about that before," Alaina told her parents.

"Uh, nice to meet you, Mrs. Darker," Mrs. McMann said as she extended her hand.

"Er, right, yeah, nice to meet you," Mr. McMann said, clearly he was still shocked that someone had appeared in his fireplace.

"Nice to meet you too." Celistine's mom said, shaking hands with Alaina's parents. "Sorry about surprising you like this, it's just that our car is getting an oil change, so this had to be my means of transportation." "That's okay," Alaina's mom said, "Won't you sit down?"

"Yes, let's all go sit down in the living room," Mrs. McMann lead the group to the living room and everyone sat down. "I'll go put some coffee on."

Alaina sat down in between Sirius and Celistine on the big couch. Max climbed up and wedged himself between Alaina and Sirius. "So, Celistine said I can come stay with her for a while. I'm so excited! I've been away from magic for way too long. My parents just wanted to meet you first."

"Yes, er, I wanted to meet you," Mr. McMann said nervously. "It'll probably be okay for Alaina to go with you guys. I just want a phone number and address in case we need to contact you. I figure she can stay for a month and then we'll see what happens."

Analise cam running down the stairs in her pajamas and her hair a mess. "What is going on here?" she screeched as she saw Mrs. Darker sitting on a chair. "I didn't know we had company!" Analise screamed as she ran back up the stairs and into her room.

"Hi Mrs. Darker. I'm Sirius Morpheus,"said Sirius Morpheus,"And that was the lovely, pajama-ed Annalise McMann. She's much more enjoyable when her hair. Is brushed. Or is it that she's much more enjoyable than an angry scorpion? I'm not sure. I don't know her very well so you'll have to ask Alaina about that.
"But listen, there's a small problem. I-blew-up-the-McMann's-steero-and-neither-Celestine-nor-I-can-use-magic-to-fix-it,"said Sirius. The last parrt all in one breath. Then she smiled placidly.

"Yes, er, could you fix our stereo, please?" Mr. McMann asked.

"Okay, I'm back with coffee! I know I need it..." Mrs. McMann announced.

"Yeah, my sister does not like to be seen without her makeup. So she might be down after she's dressed. Or not. She's not to fond of magic," Alaina explained. "So, do I get to go to Celistine's house?"

"I think it will be all right. I agree with your dad, that you should stay for a month at first. That sounds good. Is that all right with you, Mrs. Darker?" Mrs. McMann said after she drank an entire mug of coffee.

It was still early. With 2 more hours to go, Alphonse decided to walk to Diagon Alley with a few purchases in mind.

Edward put his little potion beside his bed, and went to sleep smiling evilly.

He had surrendered to the power of the Imperius. It was too powerful.

"That's fine." Mrs. Darker said as she fixed the stereo. "There we go, all fixed. Celistine, I was thinking we would go to Diagon Alley on our way home, is that all right?" "That's great, Mum, because Alaina, Sirius, and I are meeting someone there today." Celistine replied

"Okay, I have to go pack, then," Alaina said. "Sirius, Celistine, can you guys come help me? And the adults can get to know each other better." Alaina got up off the couch and started to walk toward the stairs. Max followed her and jumped up on her.

"Oh, Max! We forgot to feed you! I'm sorry, I'll go feed you now," Alaina walked to the kitchen and fed Max. "Okay, guys, let's go pack."

"Alright." Celistine said and then ran upstairs and started throwing random stuff in Alaina's room into her trunk.

"Okay, all packed!" Alaina and her friends come down the stairs lugging various suitcases and bags. "I think I have everything."

"Are we ready to go yet?" Celistine asked, eager to leave and her excitment mounting higher and higher.

Alphonse wanted to get a little greeting gift. He walked around Diagon Alley before he decided on Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. He had not seen the Weasley twins for quite sometime. He entered the shop and was immediately atonished by the amount of display sets. He was sure he would be able to get something interesting for the girls.

"Not quite, I wanted to leave a little parting gift for Annalise,"Sirius walked up the stairs, smiling indulgently all the while. She snuck into Annalise's room. Thank goodness she always spent two haours in the bathroom each morning and night. Sirius found the tiny cellular phone on Annalise's desk. It was covered in accesories and teen magazines. Sirius could only guess at the last time that it was used for home0work. That was about five years ago. Alaina had told her about these phones last night. She changed the ring-tone on it to the Barney theme song. Then, without her wand, she cast a spell that made it invisible and untangible. then another one that made it so whenever she spoke, it started "ringing". Sirius crept back downstairs, passed the bathroom, feeling rather pleased with herself, opened the door and called Cedric to her shoulder, and joined the rest of them.

Alaina gave Sirius a glare as she walked back down the stairs. Alaina only hoped that whatever Sirius did wasn't too damaging.

"Okay, I'm ready to go." Alaina told the adults.

"Oh, sweetie, I'm going to miss you so much!" Mrs. McMann told her daughter as she wrapped her in a big hug.

"Me, too, Laney." Mr. McMann said as he joined the hug. "Anna! Get down here and say goodbye to your sister! She's leaving now!"

"I'm coming!" Annalise shouted as she ran down the stairs. "Bye, little sis. I hope you have fun in your own world." Anna told Alaina as she awkwardly joined the hug.

The McMann family separated and Alaina bent down to say goodbye to Max. "Maxy, I'm going to miss you so much. I'll see you soon, okay?" She gave him one last hug and petting and she stood back up. "Bye Mum and Dad and Anna, I'll miss you guys a lot. Take good care of Max for me."

"We will sweetie. See you in a few weeks." Mrs. McMann said through tears.

Celistine, her mother, Sirius, and Alaina walked over to the fireplace and one by one they all disappeared into it by floo powder.
