Video Games!

Postby DucksRMagical » Saturday 21 April 2007 7:16:13pm

Does anyone else play video games? What systems and games do you play?

I'll go first. I have a Nintendo DS with Animal Crossing, Cars, and the Sims 2 Pets. I also have a Gameboy Color with Disney Tetris and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Next I'm hoping to get the 5th HP video game for the DS when they come out with it because that's my favorite book.

Well, the games forum is just word games that you play in threads, so I think this one belongs here. And the video games forum is just for HP video games.

You have a lot of games, Simatra! I'd love to get more HP games.

That's a good point about the lack of a seperate non-HP video games section. How would you think about a new "Other video games" section being created?...it could be used for tips and ideas for various games then.

The ones that I enjoy are strategy type ones like Civilization II. I've got Civilization Call to Power but never had time to play a whole game and its controls seem a bit more finickity. I've also got Sim City 3000 which I really like - gets the creativity running designing those cities but I've never completed a game of that either (one day I hope to be able to find time to enjoy these games to completion as I really think PC games these days are amazingly enjoyable).

I've also got quite a way through the levels of Command & Conquer 95 (although it doesn't seem to want to run now since I upgraded to Windows XP a couple of years ago). Some of them are really tricky and I found I had to save the game and go back lots of times before reaching the goals to get to the next level..still not sure whether I prefer being The Brotherhood of Nod or the other guys though. :-)

That's a great idea, Paul. besides the HP games place is a little slow... :(

But anyway, I have all of the Age of Empiers games except the newest 3rd one, so far my favorites the Age of Concerers. But has anyone played Neverwinter Nights or the Balders Gate games? i really enjoy those, even though I haven't been able to finsh any of the Balders Gate ones, they're are incredibly long...

I've beat Cid, Joan of Ark, and Attila. But none others. So anyone played Balers Gate or Neverwinter Nights? OR... Kingdom Hearts!

There is actually a video game thread created by me and Mint in the Great Hall long time ago. Just that there is no one updating the thread... it is probably on page 2 or 3 of the Great Hall.

We discussed plenty of games there. Maybe interested parties can have a look

When is my PS3 coming
