Sydney heard footsteps behind her and looked up. Olivia and Hayley were behind her, both had somber looks on their faces and were silently crying.

"Sydney, I think you should go to the hospital wing," Hayley whispered.

Sydney just looked at Hayley without saying anything.

"Come on, let's go," Olivia said, "You have a huge cut on your leg."

Sydney looked down at her leg. Olivia was right, there was a huge cut there, Sydney hadn't even noticed. She stood up shakily and started walking out of the pumpkin patch. Hayley and Olivia each grabbed one of Sydney's arms and walked with her up to the castle. They walked in silence until they reached the Entrance Hall. Sydney glanced into the Great Hall. There were less people in there than before, but there were still a lot of people milling around. Sydney started to walk towards the Great Hall.

"Nope, we're going to the Hospital Wing," Hayley said, steering Sydney to the staircase. Sydney didn't say anything, she just allowed Hayley and Olivia to lead her up the stairs.

Alan stared up at the ceiling. The partially smashed, awsesome, dome that had left him breathless when he first caught a glimpse of it. He remembered Hermione Granger whispering to anyone who would listen about how:"It's not really the sky. It's just bewitched to look like it. I read about it in Hogwart's;A History."
But the library where the book could be found was only a pile of ruckage. Ashes still hot an smoldering. He smiled ruefully about the look on Madam Pince's face when she saw it. If she was still alive, that is.
What is wrong with me? he thought. People are dead and and dying, yet, here I sit, remembering the first time the old, bird-like librarian yelled at me when I was eleven for spilling a bottle of ink over one of her precious books. It seemed like a life-time ago that had just happened yesterday that this had happened. So much had changed. But still remaining the same.
That was when he saw Willi's body. One of his best friends. and his other, Roger, leaning over his still face, sobbing.
The sky was crying for him as he walked out of the hall toward the astronomy tower. Once he had had his through tearing with the sky, he vowed that he would never shed another tear over this war again. It was just to painful. The clouds would cry for him.

AnaMaria watched as the girl placed her hand on Dory's head.
She offered reassuring words, and Ana smiled back at her.
"Thanks." She said, "How are you holding up?"

The girl said thanks and asked how she was.
"Pretty well, thanks. How about you?"
Celeste moved forward in the line. It was gradually getting shorter. Celeste looked over at the boy. He was looking a little better. "By the way," she told the girl and boy. "I'm Celeste."

Sydney, Olivia, and Hayley continued up the stairs in complete silence. As they reached the door to the Hospital Wing, they noticed the long line. So many people injured. Some people were leaning on their friends for support, physically and emotionally. Others had already passed out. Madam Pomfrey was tending to them first.

Olivia and Hayley led Sydney to the end of the line. They queued up behind two older girls, one with a hurt cat, and a little boy. What was he doing here? Sydney thought. Despite the large gash on his arm, he looked quite pleased.

"Look at this line," Hayley sighed. "We'll be waiting here for a while. It's so sad. All these people hurt. I doubt they even have enough beds."

"Very sad," Olivia agreed, with tears still running down her face.

Sydney did not feel like talking. She was still crying, but a little quieter now. Now she was starting to get a headache and was feeling a bit dizzy. She rested her head on Hayley's shoulder. All Sydney wanted to do was go to her dormitory and go to sleep.

"No, I looked that way already. How about we go this way." Alanna pointed with her finger that would lead to the stairs, and eventually, the Hosiptal wing...Keenshu knew what Alanna was getting at, but it was with a try.
"I know what you're trying to do," She stumbled again"....Maybe we should ge to the Hospital Wing, maybe Trunce is up there...."
Alanna was releved. It was about time that she started listening to her, after all, she was usauly right....
She helped Keenshu up the stairs towards the hosiptal wing.

Alan left the astronomy tower once he remembered what happened there.
"Dumbledore,"he murmured,"Dumbledore". But he did not cry.
Alan found himself in the Great Hall once more. The sight that greeted him was just the same. But with a little less people. At the Hospital Wing probably. It was then that he saw Roger. Nobody else seemed to notice him. He was lying next to Willi's lifeless body. Alan ran as fast as he could toward him. Darting in between groups of mourner's and almost knocking over Percy Weasley. He smiled again. He could not help it. He was imagining what he would have done if he was in his third year and Percy his seventh. Head-Boy year. And he ran into him. Why do I keep doing that?, he thought.
He reaced Roger. He saw that he was still breathing, though very shallowly. He saw a long, deep gash across his chest and a bloodied piece of mirror lying next to him. He remembered him saying that he thought his heart was punctured, but Alan assumed that it had been about Willi. He had to get Roger to the hospital wing. As Alan picked up Roger, he heard him give a low, slow moan. Was that a good sign or a bad sign.
He joined dwindling group of people.

"I'm doing fine, I guess. I'm just glad that I'm not badly injured... Or at least I don't think I am. I really don't remember much about today. I know there was a battle, and I know Voldemort is dead... But I don't really remember where or what I was doing during the whole thing. I woke up in the middle of the Great Hall about an hour ago and Jackie..." Ana paused. "My best mate... She's... gone."

Alan recognized a blonde haired Gryffindor who he thought was in her sixth year. Sydney her name was. He tapped her on the shoulder while still keeping Roger up-right.
"Would you mind if I got in front of you? I think that my friend is in really bad shape," he asked her.
But Roger spoke before the girl could answer. He murmured one sentence."I'm not dead yet." Alan smiled for the third time that night. Monty Python and the Holy Grail always had been his favorite muggle film. Alan's mother had shown it to hm, Roger, and, Willi over a summer that he remembered quite clearly but felt like a life-time away.
The girl let the two boys pass by her."Thanks. Your name is Sydney right?"

"I'm so sorry." Celeste said after the girl finished speaking. "I'm not sure if I can relate. I don't know the condition of any of my friends." Worry flooded her heart where were they? Celeste remembered the first time she met her best friend, Anita Parrtson. It had been her first day at hogwarts, and peeves had been giving her a hard time. Anita had come over and blown him away with a giant fan. They had been friends ever since. Where was she? Was she okay?
"Are all right?" the girl asked. "You look alittle pale."

"I'm sure they're okay. At least I hope they are." AnaMaria gave Celeste a reassuring look.

A boy asked Sydney if he could move ahead of her in line. His friend seemed to be on his last legs. Sydney didn't say a word.

"Um, sure, I guess that would be okay," Hayley said, and let the boys pass. But she had a very worried look on her face as she looked at Sydney and helped her move behind the boys.

Sydney was feeling worse by the minute. Now she didn't think she could stand up right anymore. Her head was pounding and her cut leg was getting more painful. She let go of Hayley and Olivia and eased herself onto the floor.

Hayley and Olivia turned around as they felt Sydney's grip on their shoulders ease up. "Sydney? Are you okay?" Olivia asked, her voice shaking.

Sydney didn't answer, she just closed her eyes. This was all she wanted to do, just sleep. Maybe if she slept, the pain would subside, both the physical pain and the pain of losing Colin.

"Sydney!" Hayley shouted. "Oh, no, I think she's passed out!"

Alan turned aroud as he heard "passed out". There was Sydney liying on the floor with a girl she thought was named Olivia and one that might be Haley.
"I work with the muggle healer's over the summer called the paramedics. Keep her head elevated and put a compression of cool water on her forehead."he told the girls while Roger murmered something about swallows.

Celeste jumped as she heard someone say that their friend had passed out. She ran over and got a healer. The healer went over to the girl who had passed out and levitated her onto a bed. He took one look at a boy nearby that seemed to be an inch from death and put him on another bed, too. Celeste felt her eyes fill with tears. She let them roll down her face. She caught a glimpse of red and nearly fainted. There was blood mixed with the tears. Celeste had completly forgotten about the gash on her forehead in her haste to help the boy. Now she realized how exhausted she felt from blood loss. She tore off a piece of her robes and used it as a makeshift bandage for her head.

Sydney opened her eyes, but everything was blurry. She heard Madam Pomfrey say that a few healers had came from St. Mungo's to help her out. She also said that a few empty classrooms near the Hospital Wing were turned into makeshift hospital wings, complete with beds.

Sydney felt herself being lifted off the floor. What was going on? She saw Hayley and Olivia on either side of her. "She's awake!" Hayley shouted. Next thing Sydney knew, she was being lowered onto one of the beds.

Sydney closed her eyes again and listened to what was being said around her.

"Blood loss..." someone murmured. "Shock," someone else said.

Sydney heard people moving around the room. She wondered how many other people were in this classroom turned hospital wing. How many people had been injured in the battle? How many had died? Sydney started crying again as she thought of Colin.
