"Hey, look. I know somewhere that will be really fun to go to" Alanna said to Trunce.
"No, that's okay. I like it here, outside." 'grrr,....stubid, no good' she continued in her mind. ' If I find out who did this....'
"So sorry Trunce." He looked at her confused again and as she pulled out her wand in one fluid motion said, "Stupify!" Trunce fell in her arms and she started dragging him to the fron doors. When she heard a laugh, she igored it and kept pulling him along, too lost in thought....

When she next opened her eyes, Moe found herself in the Hospital Wing- it was quiet, people sleeping in this room whilst others talked in hushed voices beyond Matron's office door.

She shuffled herself into a sitting position and took stock of her injuries: minor fixed fracture in her left arm, healing cut on her cheek, but still aching head and shoulder...so she'd been moved and only partially treated. Not surprising as there were a lot of people around her in worse condition.

There was a muffled crash, and the main doors were flung open to reveal a girl dragging the limp body of a boy all on her own. Deciding against heeding her own aches, Moe scrabbled to her feet and hurried over.
"Need any help, there?"

"thanks." Alanna said to the girl who came over to help her carry in her friend.
"Some moron of a Death Eater has messed with his memory. So I had to jinx him to drag him up here." The girl grabbed his other shoulder as they moved him to a bed.
Alanna heard footsteps running toward her as Keenshu ran towards them and fell beside Trunces limp body.
"Don't worry, he's not dead....get back to your bed, Keenshu. Your still hurt..."She turned to the girl who helped her carry Trunce, "thanks, I'm Alanna."

Moe offered a grim smile. "You're welcome, Alanna- oh, and the name's Moe."

They made sure that the lad was settled in a bed, and that Alanna's friend was too- she looked like yet another victim of the Death Eaters. Moe looked around at the whole Wing: every bed, except her own, was taken up by someone's best friend- by someone's child, sibling, there were even some parents there. The sight almost made her cry.

Instead, her head gave a particularly violent throb- she mumbled something of an apology to Alanna and tried to get back to her bed while the room seemed to sway beneath her feet.

Alanna watched the girl, Moe, sway where she stood. So she ran back up to her. "Are you sure you're okay? Maybe I should help you now." Alanna laughed at her own joke.
'What are you doing? You don't make jokes at this time.....this is a time for mourning, not laughter...' She straighted her face and helped Moe to her bed, then went back to Keenshu to make sure she was still there. 'Then I'll go get a heeler and explain about Trunce....'

Sydney slowly opened her eyes. 'How long have I been asleep?' she wondered. She glanced around the room and it looked much like it had when she'd fallen asleep. People were occupying all of the beds. Other people were milling around whispering to each other, or waiting for an open bed. Healers were running around with potions and trying to tend to everyone in the room.

Sydney looked around for Olivia and Hayley, but they were no where to be found. Maybe they had gone to find available healers for their own wounds. Sydney was feeling much better. Her headache was gone and she wasn't nearly as tired. The wound on her leg was mostly healed. But the emotional pain was still there.

Sydney turned around in her bed and looked out the window behind her. She noticed a duck flying around the castle. Was it Drake? It was hard to tell because it was getting pretty dark outside. How much time had passed since the battle? Could Drake be back by now? Sydney decided to get up and go see if the duck was Drake. She slowly got up out of bed and slipped out the door. The healers were so busy they didn't even notice her leave. And her bed was soon occupied by another person.

Alan made his way back up to the school. What a mess. He thought. He pulled out his wand and repaired anything that he could on his way up to his dormitory. I need to sleep. "Mafalid", he said to a gargoyle, looking extremeley drunk and missing half his left eye and nose.
"Yup."said the gargoyle,"The password sure is "Gozoydaling". No where did I put my caandle-hat? You know the one, Marta. The one with my name on it. You know my name is Yvonne. Isn't it lass?"he asked Alan.
"Errrr....Of course it is. now if you could just let me through."Alan asked. "Yvonne" hobbled away. Probably to look for Marta and his hat."Thanks."Muttered Alan at his retreating, swaying back. He had no idea how to fix him/her.

Keenshu had fallen asleep. So Alanna made her way to Trunce. A Heeler was already by him, looking at his wounds. There were only a few cuts, by he took to them anyway. She saw it was the same Heeler who told her to take a bed when she was going ou to get Trunce. 'Great....'
"Hey, I when I went out to find him he was memory charmed." Then more softly she added, "he doesn't remember me...." The Heeler turned.
"Obliverate, doesn't knock someone out, and didn't I tell you to find a bed? You've got some pretty good bruises..."
"Look, I'm fine okay? Can we consintrate just a little here? My friend, I had to jinx him in order to bring him here, happy? Now, is there any chance....?"
He looked angry at first, but then looked back at Tunce. "Miss...?
"Alanna."
"Miss Alanna, I'll be perfectly honest with you, there's not much of a chance of completely clearing a memory charm. We will do all we can. You're very brave, but if you're fine I suggest you go to your commen room and rest. Goodnight."

Celeste had hardly gotten outside when a hippogrif almost hit her as it flew by. A duck followed. Since when were there ducks at Hogwarts? Maybe she was seeing things that weren't there. Nope, that's definnately a duck. And a hippogrif. Weird.

Sydney quietly walked through the castle. The Hospital Wing and the other classroom turned hospital wing were both still filled with people. There was still a small line outside the door. Sydney still had no idea how much time had passed. She didn't even know if it was the same day or not. But she hoped everyone would get healed soon. Some people looked to be in desperate need of healing.

No one seemed to notice Sydney as she walked by. She walked down the stairs, repairing things as she went by. Sydney passed by the Great Hall. Did she dare peek inside? She thought instantly of Colin and a wave of tears came over her. Sydney slowly glanced through the open doors and peeked inside. The hall was nearly empty of students. However quite a few professors and other adults were milling about, talking in whispers. Sydney looked to where Colin's body had once been. Someone had moved it. She closed her eyes and ran back into the Entrance Hall.

Sydney continued to the doors of the castle and wrenched them open. A Ravenclaw prefect was standing near the doors, but she didn't do anything when Sydney left the castle. Sydney ran outside. She had to find out if that duck was Drake. And if he wasn't Drake, who's duck was he? Sydney was the only one at Hogwarts with a duck, and she'd never seen any other ducks there before.

Celeste turned to see a sixth year come outside, looking at the duck. Didn't she own a duck? Celeste wasn't sure.

Alan couldn't sleep. He was tired. Too tired to sleep. He had no idea what to do. He swung open the half of the Fat Lady's portrait that still remained of the entrance to the Gryffindor Common Room. But, luckily, the Fat Lady had escaped just in time and took refuge in one containing a group of very strange looking Monks playing a game of cards. This portrait has been through so much. Too much Allan thought as he made his way back past where the gargoyle had once stood. He returned to the Great Hall. They're were barely any students left in the Hall. But suddenly, he didn't feel like a student anymore. He was a Wizard.

Sydney started walking around the grounds, scanning the sky for the duck. It was quite dark now, so it was hard to see.

"Drake!" she shouted. "Drake, is that you? Come here!"

But Drake didn't come. Sydney continued prowling the grounds. She walked to the lake, but there wasn't a duck swimming on it. She made her way down to Hagrid's hut. Drake often liked to hang out there when the owls were irritating him. But the only animal at the hut was Fang. Sydney walked to the Herbology green houses. One of their roof's was smashed. Drake was no where to be found. Sydney sighed. It must not have been Drake. He would have came back directly to Sydney anyway. It was stupid to think he'd be back so soon anyway.

But Sydney wanted Drake to be back. She was worried about her mum and sister. Had the battle spread to other parts of the country? Were death eaters roaming around seeking revenge on anyone? Sydney didn't know, but she wanted to know that her family was okay.

Then Sydney saw it. Something flying around the sky. She looked up again and there it was. A duck. But this duck had 3 feathers sticking up out of his head. This was odd. Sydney had never seen this on a duck before. This duck was certainly not Drake. She watched as the duck flew down onto the ground. Sydney slowly made her way to the duck. Where did he come from?

The duck and the hippogriff landed side by side on the shore of the lake, have seen no injured people or animals left on the grounds they decided to head for the castle in order to see how they could help with the recover since they had missed the battle.

The duck realized that it would take a very long time to waddle to the front doors. What he didn't realize was that he was being watch, and by the time he did he was no longer a duck.
