Well, it shuld be if both Voldemort and DD give the same explanation to what happened, it should be a ina book, so it must have happened before.

I don't kow.. DD seems to know everything, and you would think that if someone had evaded death, and as almost happened in the Harry-Voldie scenario, the spell rebounded and killed whoever was trying to do the killing, this imaginary person would be really rejoycing and go aroud telling people?

Not very likely I think... wouldnt' they have wrote about it straight away, after all, when harry was in first yr, Hermoine said that he was in at least about three books already, and that was only 10yrs ago...

And if it's on a book, any book, wouldn't Hermoine have read it... *after all, she is a walkign library!!!!*

they could still write then, couldn't they???

and I'd say even if they couldnt', it woudl be a pretty big revelation, so people woud remember and tell stories about it till they learnt to write? ie Myths and Legends!

I'd agree with Neo on that point...the way DD explained Harry how the incident could happen somehow left the impression that he was talking about a fact and not just an assumption.

Yeah; maybe DD has access to certain inforation or books, that others do not have and knows this kind of things; maybe he is heir of Godric and they pass a book that has all the wisdom known in the magic world, and since DD has no children (that we know) he will give it to Harry.

DD said that "Unless I'm much mistken..." when he was talling harry about power transfer from Voldie.. sounds like someone who isn't totally postaive to me...

He is not totally sure, but that is in first place that I said that it wasn't written in any book.

Besides, it seems that making books wasn't that popular 1000 years ago, I mean, in that case they should know when was Hogwarts constructed.
