CoS April 11th!

Postby ElvenMist » Monday 3 February 2003 10:11:52pm

Yay! I'm surprised no one has posted about this yet! It's sooo exciting!!
I just found this at Marauder's Magic::

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warner Home Video has added 19 additional or extended scenes to the video release of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, it said Tuesday. The video, which is due out on April 11 in the U.S., U.K., Germany and Australia, is expected to sell for $24.95 for the videocassette and $29.95 for the two-disc DVD set, which will include a slew of extras that can be accessed with the DVD player or a PC.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the DVD will also feature interviews with Dan, Rupert, Emma, and (I assumer) other characters, plusDVD version of "Hogwarts- A History". YAY!!!

I'm pretty sure why it's being released over a month sooner than that of the first HP. The first one made more than CoS, I'm guessing CoS will make a final gross at about $263-265 million, and SS took in about $317 million. Usually once the movies start winding down they close them pretty soon after, and I think CoS will be taken out of theaters sooner than SS was, so with that they would release the DVD sooner.

:counts how many times i just said sooner:

yep...i found them ok.....took a small while to figure out....

but then i left my DVD with my little sister so she could get a look and she found a different way into them....

u can go by the 3rd floor corridoor or by getting the potions correct in snapes classroom.....

(i must admit though i managed to blow myself up at least twice in snape's class trying to guess them potions)

lol. SS/PS was rated #1 for worst DVD of 2002 by Newsweek, sicne of all the stuff it took to get to the additional scenes. I didn't have my DVD player, so I only have the VHS- which has 4 (?) of the 7 extra scenes... :(

It took me a while to find it, for a while I wasn't even sure if they were on there. I finally managed to find them after a site posted instructions. :-?
