Welcome to Broomsticks and Owls, Roni!

I hope you stick around after you're done with your project and join in some of our discussions!
Roni wrote:1. Who is your favorite character?
My favorite character is Hermione. I feel like I identify with her the best. And I love how she's really book smart, but she does understand people and feelings, and she's intuitive to those feelings also.
2. Do you think Draco will ever change? (yes/no/not sure)
This is really a pet peeve of mine: that people think Draco will turn good. I don't think so. He enjoys being a little worm, but my main reason for not thinking Draco will change really has to do with things J.K. Rowling has said in chats and interviews about him.
3. Who is the best girl for Harry? (suggestions: Ginny, Luna, Hermione, new girl etc.)
I feel very strongly that Harry and Ginny will have some romance in the upcoming books. Hermione is much more of a best friend/sister to Harry, and Luna is a friend, and I think she'll become a closer friend, but I don't think they'll ever be anything more. Ginny is really the only girl we know of that has an active dating life, we know that she once had a childhood crush on Harry, since then they've grown closer. She also is one of the few people who will stand up to Harry and tell him things in a matter-of-fact way, but still be friends with him. Since both of them have wit and something of a temper, I think it will be fun to read about a relationship between them.
4. Who is your least favorite character?
Professor Sprout. I don't care for characters who are neither here nor there. Snape, Malfoy, Voldemort and Umbridge are all deliciously evil. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Dumbledore, the Weasleys - they're all deliciously loveable. Professor Sprout is a completely useless character in my opinion. The only good thing about her is that the actress who portrays her in the movies makes her loveable.
5. How many Harry Potter books do you own?
Seven. I own all five of the novels, and both of the Galadriel Waters books on the Mysteries of Harry Potter.
6. Which position would you choose if you played Quidditch? (Seeker/Beater/Keeper/Chaser)
None of the above. I suppose if I had to pick something, the closest thing I could pick would be spectator. I can't stand the Quidditch scenes, I'm glad they've taken the backseat in the past two books, and I'm scared of heights.
7. Do you think Harry will die in the end of Book 7?
I don't think so. I don't think he'll ever be the same again, I don't think he'll be able to have a "normal" life (like he ever had one), but I don't feel like he'll die.
8. Which Harry Potter book was your favorite? (1/2/3/4/5)
This is a close tie between Prizoner of Azkaban and Order of the Phoenix. I would actually have to go with Order of the Phoenix, I suppose. I love the idea of all the Order staying at Headquarters, the secretiveness of it, Lupin's character is expanded so that you can see how kindhearted he really is, and it has all my favorite characters. And I like the rebellion going on with the DA.
9. If you were in Hogwarts, which house would you be in/would you like to be in? (Gryffindor/Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff/Slytherin)
I would say I would probably belong in Ravenclaw.
10. J. K. Rowling said there will be more death in the following books. What character will die next, in your opinion?
I don't know who will die next, but I feel like Lupin, Mrs. Weasley and Dumbledore will all die before the books are out. Naturally, I think there will be more deaths, but these three I think are almost definate.
11. Who is the best guy for Hermione? (suggestions: Ron, Harry, Krum, new guy etc.)
Once again, I feel very strongly about this. Ron and Hermione were meant to be together. I think even J. K. Rowling herself has strongly hinted at this. Ron and Hermione bring out the best in each other.
12. Who is your favorite teacher in Hogwarts? (including all DADA teachers of all 5 books)
I would agree with what I would assume would be the majority of people when I say I like Lupin the best. His way of making everyone feel worthwhile is admirable. I also like Professor McGonagall, because I understand her. At first glance, she's very rigid and strict, but she genuinely cares for her students, and she does have a hint of humor.
