hey, i'm new here...

anyway, i thought that the movie was really good...the cast was perfect and the graphics were great. but being as obssessive as i am, i cringed at the few minor changes that were made and the teeny things that were left out. i understand that they had to do that, though, so i won't complain. also, i felt that the movie didn't have the sense of adventure that the book had; it was more of an illustration of the story than an actual story all by itself. nevertheless...

overall, great movie.

I thought that 'Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone' was an ace movie. The special effects were down to a T especially the quadditch match. The characters were all well chosen, I especially like Hermione and Hagrid. I did feel that as the movie is based mainly for young kids, it was slightly long for them to sit at peace. i understand that this had to be the case as otherwise the full storyline could not have been conveyed to the audience watching. Overall great movie and i would recommend it to anyone.

Welcome hannah_m_2001 :welcome:

I agree about the need for the length of the movie to ensure the full storyline came through successfully - better for it to be that way than to miss out essential plotlines and scenes. The excitement continues at a good pace throughout, so hopefully it won't put off people who are afraid younger children may not last the length of the movie.

Here's an idea- why don't they put mini screens in the cinema bathrooms so you don't miss out on stuff if you've gotta go??

I also that the movie was great, but my brothers who had seen the movie already, kept narrating the whole story, so i didn;t enjoy it as much as i had hoped, but i still loved it

I thought the movie was very well done, though I didn't agree with some of the changes I know they had to make. My favorite part was, of course, Quidditch; it was the main reason why I wanted to see the movie. And I thought that the cast was very well suited for the parts they played (Besides, I love Alan Rickman anyway! And no, I'm not a stalker; I just respect him as an actor ). I felt they glossed over some parts that I thought were essential to the book, but I'm not going to go into that here. Overall, let's just say that I can't wait for the next movie to come out!

It was Really good. But if they cut that much on the 1st one, I cringe to see the 4th movie.

BTW, i'm the newest!
