I don't think they will replace Harry Frode, because they look differant. :-?

Surely you don't mean what I think you mean.

If you do mean it, then I agree.

They most definitely will not replace Dan Radcliffe with Elijah Wood... Frodo... :o :-?

Elijah Wood's too old to play Harry Potter anyway, he was like 18 or so when they started making LOTR, and that was some time around the turn of the millenium.

Sorry but this conversation is completely stupid.

Elijah is too old to replace Dan, where does that thought come from anyway as Dan is confirmed to play Harry!

What I am more concerned about at the moment is whether Gary Oldman will play Sirius! That to me would be a real tragedy.

They can't keep changing people, already they've changed the Dumbledore (admittedly that was for circumstances beyond anyone's control), and the one they have now is nowhere near as good.

I think he is better actually, puts more live and humour into the part instead of the other one. I know hes dead now but I always thought his performance was not as full of life and humour as the Dumbledor in the book, I think the new guy got his personality much better.

True, but in GoF the new guy just seemed a bit too angry for Dumbledore. Dumbledore always struck me as a very calm person, not one to get over-excited.

Dumbledore in the first and second movies had no spark of life whatsover...perhaps the poor guy was already ill at the time even if he didn't realise it but it just seemed to lack everything that makes Dumbledore interesting. I mean no offence to the guy seeing as he is dead now so it seems a bit mean to pick on him but I actually thought his performance was just as bad in the Gladiator movie too actually, I much prefer the new guy.

Just to clarify:

DD1 Richard Harris
DD2 Michael Gambon

For me I prefer Richard Harris. DD was always calm, collected but also calculating in the books and Michael Gambon for me is a little too animated at times and not the cool and calm character I personally felt he should be.

Both actors have had some great acting roles e.g. Count of Monte Cristo and Layer Cake and I like both of them but for me Richard was the best DD.

I really don't like Michael Gambon as Dumbledore.

He really isn't very calmand collected as him.

And he seems a little violent at times, to me.

Same, he was to over-reactive and not as calm and collected as he's supposed to be...

Also, I heard Robbie Coltrane won't be returning as Hagrid in the 5th movie, don't know who will replace him...
