Movie!!!

Postby Scellanis » Tuesday 11 December 2007 12:28:57am

I went to see The Golden Compass at the weekend but probably the best part was seeing the Inkheart trailor before it began, I didn't even know it was being planned but wow! It looked good. Seems like they have done the firebreathing stuff well.

I haven't read Inkheart. Or any of the other books in that series. Maybe I should read them. Fawkes likes them. I've also got to read the Golden Compass before I see that movie.

I saw the Golden Compass before reading the book, mainly because Suzy left the books at home in Dumfries so I couldn't get them till after the movie but yeah, Golden Compass is part of a set of three books, Northern Lights being the one its based on.

Sorry but I just have to Squee!!! and double post because I saw City of Ember today and they had a new Inkheart trailor and whats more, I think its released soon...it was a much longer trailor, I love the quote about Duct tape though. Dustfinger looks awesome, I recognise the actor but I can't remember who he is but I think they picked a really good guy for Meg's father, he is the man that does the Mummy films, he has a wonderful rich voice, I think he will be really good for that role.

One of my friends told me that when Cornelia Funke was writing Inkheart, Mo was actually based on Brendan Fraser. Weird.

I saw the movie, I need to read the book again now cos I'm not convinced they finished the movie with all the people in the right place, it seems to finished for the 1st out of 3 books. Have a feeling they may not be doing movies of the other 2 unless I'm imagining things.

Ah well, was a good movie and obviously there are changes in it. Love Dustfinger

I finished Inkdeath a little while ago, it was pretty awesome, though I wasn't terribly happy with certain parts of the ending.... But I won't spoil.....

I'm going to see Inkheart this Saturday! I can't wait! despite the fact that the scriptwriters or whoever don't seem to understand that THERE ARE NO UNICORNS, I think it's going to be a lot of fun since I'll be watching it with some friends! Oh my god, how are they going to do the part in Inkdeath where*slaps mouth shut* err... Never mind...

no I think the unicorn is out of another book like Toto and the boy...and there are unicorns in other books although if its out of The Last Unicorn that story is gonna be screwed. Everyone only cares about the inkheart story but nobody wonders what they do to all the other poor books they read things out of by accident like poor Dorothy loosing toto.

I was like what..don't remember that and then I realised I've not read it yet...hehehe

Oh well, the one in the movie can't be that one, its probably out of narnia or Harry Potter or something.

I just saw Inkheart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *happy dance* It was absolutely nothing like the book, but I approve of the changes they made, and oh my god Elinor the wannabe gypsie has spunk!!!! And Farid=sooooo hot........ And I loooooooooved Dustfinger's accent, and the actress who played Resa was really good at conveying what she wanted without speaking........... I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
