yeah, its true...
here's what Sean Biggerstaff had to say about it:

"Oliver Wood will not feature in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Obviously this means I won't feature in it either"

i guess when u shrink a novel like PoA down to a 2 hour movie, sacrifices have to be made. Its a shame that we won't get to see him do a McGonagall expression huh?

I actually didn't like the Quidditch scenes that much, but they play a vital role in the third movie. That said:

There have been many reports that Quidditch will be completely computer generated made, which will mean that Harry will really be one of the only ones needed for the scenes, and the others would be computer made. I don't think it will be much of a loss, Wood wasn't in the 2nd one much anyways, and I don't think it will be a huge loss for the 3rd film.

so. computer made? that sounds wierd, does that mean that wood's head from the old films will be digitally stuck onto the computer bodies. or will it be totally new? ahhhh what if they have square heads. OH TRAVESTY
