Well, has everyone assumed that Snape was one of the missing places in LV's circle in GoF? (I have) And if he was, wouldn't he have known that Sirius was/wasn't a death eater? And didn't Peter enter the circle after he had his golden arm put on? So Snape would have known that Peter was a DE, if Peter was part of the original circle...I am not sure that he was. Do you think the DE's don't know who is who because of the masks? LV called some of them by name, so it didn't seem to be a big secret. |

Windy...hmmm... she is kinda a villian who is in search of True Runes. I haven't complete Suikoden I because I got stuck halfway thru' and I can't proceed... and now, I can't find the CD.
I'm not very sure if Yuber was in Suikoden I but yes, he was in Suikoden II for a brief moment alongside with Sasarai because Harmonia allied with Highlands (the baddies in Suikoden II) You're a fan of Yuber??? I don't have much impression about him because he had a black helmet/mask covering half of his face all the time. All I know was that he doesn't seem to be a nice goody person.
Oh ya... Luc the guy with the True Wind rune whom I always mistook him for a girl was in Suikoden I & II. He helped in both libration wars. I always thought of him as a weird, cold person. I have read Suikoden III manga till Vol. 7 and found out that Luc was the masked priest and that he was the twin brother of Sasarai. This is freaky... in Suikoden II, Sasarai and Luc met in one of the battles and Sasarai was surprised by the sudden appearance of Luc who bore close resemblance and helped to defeat the Highlands army with magic. I suppose in Suikoden III game, their identity were revealed the same way as the manga where Luc appeared to remove the True Earth Rune from Sasarai?
Suikoden III is also one of the games on the list! I intend to complete the Suikoden saga you know... |

R2D2 totally rocks! Hehe.
I'm still shivering because of the scenes in which Anakin killed the younglings and when he was burnt by the lava. I liked that he cried in the end...who would have thought that Vader became Vader with tears? Actually, I watched episodes IV-VI again after I saw Revenge of the Sith, and it was amazing how it changed the way you see the original trilogy. The similarities between Luke and Anakin, Padmé's last words which Luke also says at one point...and when Vader told his son that is was too late for him to change, I could just see Anakin behind that mask. Wow.
Has anybody read the book? Not the teenager version. Many people don't seem to like it, but I thought it was great.
And you rage and scream and reach through the Force to crush the shadow who has destroyed you, but you are so far less now than what you were, you are more than half machine, you are like a painter gone blind, a composer gone deaf, you can remember where the power was but the power you can touch is only a memory, and so with all your world-destroying fury it is only droids around you that implode, and equipment, and the table on which you were strapped shatters, and in the end, you cannot touch the shadow.
In the end, you do not even want to.
In the end, the shadow is all you have left.
Because the shadow understands you, the shadow forgives you, the shadow gathers you unto itself—
And within your furnace heart, you burn in your own flame.
This is how it feels to be Anakin Skywalker.
Forever.
|
Isn't using a phrase like "tore you apart and you have to move on" kind of extreme too?
Okay, we've covered the nature of a relationship; but are you still telling me that you would choose the couple who fight consistently and badly over the couple who do fight, but get over it as you say? You tell me that their fights aren't as bad as you say, and I can't fathom that we're reading the same books. As far as I can tell, they spend more time NOT talking than actually talking. quote]
Tanuki, you grow on me with every post.
Actually being "torn apart" in a grown-up fight, isn't that extreme. I'm not talking about physical stuff, I'm talking about really deep hurts that get raked over when people angry. This is very normal and as couples mature, it happens less, but a couple who've been married for 50 years and know they shouldn't say certain things, still will say them if the right provocation arises. My husband and I know exactly what to say to each other to really hurt the other in the worst way. Fortunately, we've grown enough to quit doing it. And yes, you do limp through a forgiveness process and pick up the pieces and keep on going. Otherwise, there'd be many more divorces than there already are. There is not one difference in the problems married people face, that divorced people face. The difference comes in how people handle them. You can put just about marriage/relationship back together and keep it together as long as there are two people who want the relationship to be rebuilt. Just one partner wanting it, won't work. "Love covers a multitude of sins..."
But, for the sake of this discussion...
I have been rereading GoF, particularly a few of the fight scenes between Ron and Hermione. I note with interest places like this one on page 400.
"I can't come with you," said Hermione now blushing, She's talking to Ron. Why is she blushing? She doesn't blush when she talks to Harry. She's blushing because Ron is very thick and he didn't get it that she would have liked to have been asked by him, sooner.
We're not the only ones who notice there's something up with Ron and Hermione... on page 401.
Harry sighed. "Can't you think of anyone who'd go with Ron?" he said, lowering his voice so Ron wouldn't hear. "What about Hermione Granger?" said Parvati.
When we get to the Yule Ball, Harry notices Hermione looks great, but Ron has also noticed which is why he's so sulky. He masks his own disappointment in a big brawl over Hermione being disloyal to Harry by going to the dance with Krum, but it's obvious in the way he calls Krum "Vicky," that he's jealous as heck. It has nothing to do with the tournament.
By the end of the Yule Ball on page 432, Harry catches Ron and Hermione having another huge row, and this time Hermione let's Ron have it with, "Well if you don't like it, you know what the solution is don't you?" yelled Hermione; her hair coming down out of its elegant bun and her face was screwed up in anger....(Ron asks what the solution is or yells his question rather) Next time there's a ball, ask ME before someone else does and not as a last resort."
Every girl out there, including the girl that wrote the book, knows what it's like to nurse a secret affection for someone who does not have a clue and has not noticed, you're a female and your eligible. All Ron needed to have done, was ask Hermione to the dance. But he's not in touch with his feelings yet. We see no chapter, no nothing that leads us to believe that Hermione was disappointed that HARRY didn't ask her first. She's ticked at Ron, because she feels rejected by him. Not Harry. Harry notices she's pretty the way and older brother notices his younger sister is pretty. He's not noticing her, like a girlfriend. Ron though, through his sulkiness, has noticed. And Hermione, in spite of having the attention of Krum, isn't happy either.
Ron is dense, yes. But he's a kid. And he's not who he will be. He comes from a great family. He's got a lot of loyalty, and he's brave when he needs to be and a good true friend. Those are not "nothing" qualities. He was the first friend Harry had and he's stuck by him and Hermione, this whole time, even when he doesn't agree. And the thing I've noticed in reading over some of the fights with the ball, SPEW, etc., is that Ron is not afraid to Hermione's feelings. He tells her what he thinks. Harry is much more reserved in his responses because he doesn't want to hurt her. That level of honesty that Ron puts forth, even when he's telling her she's stupid, is a type of intimacy...it hints that there is more between them than what we see.
I have seen on other fansites, the theory that Ron and Hermione are already, behind the scenes, a couple....but Harry hasn't noticed yet. |

Hm, actually I think that boggarts are overrated. Sure, sometimes (like in Harry's case), there's no difference between the actual object of your fear and the boggart. But if you know it's a boggart, if you know that what you see is not, say, Voldemort, but a stupid, absolutely harmless little creature putting on a Voldemort-mask, so what? If your greatest fear is the death of a beloved one and your boggart turns into the corpse of that person, it might feel strange, but not at all as terrible as it would if it were real.
So, if Voldemort's greatest fear was death, or Dumbledore as suggested, I doubt he would run away crying just because of a reflection. However, I doubt that boggarts are intelligent creatures, so Voldemort would rather try to catch some than recruit them. |

Percy met with his father to discuss the situation with Fudge and the desire of Professor Dumbledore to have him spy on the Minister for the Order. He was struggling with his feelings of loyalty to his father which seemed to be in conflict with his feelings of loyalty to the Minister. They decided to meet at midnight in the kitchen at the burrow. With Molly staying at Hogwarts after the last incident, they both felt that it would be private enough. Arthur was concerned that both he and Percy could be under ministry surveillance, especially with the oddly secretive behavior of Fudge lately. Dumbledore had mentioned that Fudge had been acting more erratic as pressure mounted to see results from the ministry in dealing with the return of the dark lord.
Once Arthur had made tea for them he motioned for Percy to take a seat. Percy took a sip of tea while gathering his thoughts before beginning. "I may have over reacted about the Minister when I came to see you at headquarters." Arthur frowned and said "What do you mean? Has Fudge returned?" Percy stared at his father and knew that the time had come to make a decision as to whom he was going to give his trust to. "I need you to be completely honest with me father. What happened with Harry Potter when he went to Azkaban?"
Arthur was completely taken aback by this question and asked "Percy what is this all about?" Percy never took his eyes off his father's face and said "I work very closely with the Minister of Magic and you and Dumbledore want me to report his actions to you, effectively spying on the Minister for the Order of the Phoenix, yet you don't tell me everything that I should know. Harry found out about the mirrors that the Malfoy's use to communicate. Harry also found out about a spy at Hogwarts and Dumbledore does nothing about it. What else has been happening that I don't know about?"
There was hurt and accusation in his son's eyes and Arthur sighed deeply. "Percy, there are probably many details that even I don't know about. That is how things happen during a war. Percy, the Order isn't asking you to spy on Cornelius Fudge, nor am I, but as his personal assistant, you have the ability to inform those who need to know if he begins to act irrationally. Isn't that why you came to head quarters in the first place?"
Arthur stood up and began pacing. "I understand why you would feel left out of the loop, hearing details for the first time from Fudge instead of me, so let me tell you everything that I know." Arthur proceeded to tell his son every detail about the events on the quidditch pitch, and how Dumbledore had discovered how the Malfoys were communicating even though Draco's mirror was not found among his belongings. He also told Percy about Harry's encounters at Azkaban as well as what had happened in the cave when Max found him.
Percy was stunned and somewhat disconcerted by the fact that Harry had been mentally connected to Voldemort twice in the space of a few days. He was reminded of the dream Harry had and of seeing his face in it, but that wasn't something Percy wanted to think about. "What about this spy at Hogwarts?" Arthur shook his head and said "You know more than I do about that. Albus didn't share that with me personally but, remember Percy, there would be no reason for him to tell me. It simply isn't something that I need to know but I can assure you that the information about a spy wouldn't have been taken lightly or disregarded."
Arthur sat back down and took a moment to think about what he wanted to say. It was obvious to Arthur that Percy was loyal to the Minister and he wanted to get his point across without causing another row like the last one they had had because of the fundamental differences between his own opinions and those of Cornelius Fudge. "Percy Professor Dumbledore has never wavered in his convictions, even when he was publicly ridiculed and stripped of his positions not only on the Wizengamot and International Confederation of Wizards but even as headmaster of Hogwarts. He never let his personal trials or the loss of outward respect from the wizarding world dissuade him from doing what he knew to be right. Can you honestly say the same about Cornelius Fudge? Percy you must choose who you are willing to trust based on what you know to be right and what is in your own heart."
Percy sat back in his chair and considered what he was going to say. His father had made some valid points but the Minister had also taken a risk in entrusting him with the details of his actions. Arthur could see his son struggling with this and waited without saying anything else. Finally Percy decided to tell his father what Fudge had tried to do with the mirrors. Percy hesitated for a moment then said "That story about Draco Malfoy escaping from Azkaban was a rouse to try and get Lucius to contact the Minister. The Minister arranged the meeting but Lucius never showed. He may have suspected a trap so the Minister had the Prophet run that story in the hope that Malfoy will try to contact him and arrange another meeting. The Minister didn't tell anyone about his plan because he doesn't know who he can trust because of what Harry Potter revealed after his trip to Azkaban."
Percy paused for a moment before continuing with a pained look on his face. "I am the only one he told about this because I have proven my loyalty to him and to the Ministry. I told the Minister that he could count on me and now I have broken my word." Percy hung his head and clearly felt terribly guilty for betraying the Minister after assuring him that he could trust him.
Arthur sat staring at his son stunned by this news. "Percy, when I told you that ambition unchecked can be disastrous this is what I was talking about. Did you know that Fudge opposed using the mirrors when their existence was discovered? I didn't understand his objections at the time but now I see what he had in mind. He wanted to bring in one of the most hunted Death Eaters on his own to regain some of the respect he lost when the dark lord's return became public knowledge. Percy, don't you see, Cornelius Fudge's ambitions are leading him in over his head. If Malfoy had shown up, I seriously doubt that Fudge would have survived the encounter. Lucius Malfoy is very smart and extremely powerful and is certainly more than a match for the Minister. Fudge is playing a very dangerous game and if his ambitions blow up in his face I don't want you to get caught in the crossfire."
Percy realized that his father was right. He had been uncomfortable with the Minister's seemingly reckless behavior for awhile but when Fudge put his trust in Percy his own feelings of ambition and pride took over just like last year when Harry and Professor Dumbledore first claimed that Voldemort had returned. Percy didn't want to make the same mistakes again and said "I won't dad. I'll let you know if Malfoy contacts the Minister so that the Order can be there to help."
Percy arrived early the next morning at the ministry and found Fudge pacing nervously in his office. "What is it Minister?" Percy asked concerned. Fudge stopped pacing and said "I'm glad you're here Percy. Lucius contacted me last night. I still have enough of polyjuice potion to transform into Draco a few more times. He wants to meet with me but said that it would have to wait until this morning. He should be contacting me any time. Percy this is as dangerous as it gets. Are you up to the task of helping me to capture Malfoy?"
Percy's heart was pounding for he hadn't expected this to be sprung on him so quickly. How was he going to inform the Order? "What do I need to do minister?" Fudge looked hard at Percy then said "When we arrange the meeting you must go too." Fudge walked to the desk and inserted a key into the top drawer. Once he had opened it, he withdrew a flowing silvery length of cloth. "You will be hidden under this invisibility cloak. When Lucius shows up we will both stun him. I need to be sure that you are ready for this because the slightest hesitation could be disastrous."
Percy swallowed hard and felt a thin bead of sweat run down the back of his neck. Suddenly his father's words echoed loudly in his head. “Fudge is playing a very dangerous game and if his ambitions blow up in his face I don't want you to get caught in the crossfire." Percy knew that he had no choice at this point, but he might still be able to talk some sense into the Minister and said "I am ready sir, but what happens if Malfoy doesn't come alone? Shouldn't we have more backup than just the two of us? Perhaps we could speak with Professor Dumbledore and get some members of the Order of the Phoenix to come. Surely there are no spies within the Order itself."
Fudge dropped the cloak he had in his hand and said "I don't necessarily trust Dumbledore. Percy, you know full well that he has his own agenda. With you hidden under the cloak I am certain that we can accomplish this capture together. We will have the advantage even if Lucius brings someone as backup. This is our chance to show the entire wizarding world what we are made of and to redeem both of our names after the events of last June." Fudge came over and placed a hand on Percy's shoulder and said "This is an opportunity not only for me Percy, but for you as well. You were Head Boy and top of your class at school, were you not? You have proven that you can think on your feet and have practically run this office effectively on your own, running interference for me with the members of the International Confederation and other countries Minister's. Percy, I have faith in your ability to shine through in this challenge and to be able to say that you were instrumental in bringing the most hunted Death Eater to justice will be the finest feather in your cap. It will set you apart from your peers and gain you the respect of the entire wizarding world. Perhaps it will even sway your father to realize that he was wrong and you could begin to mend that rift in your life. So my boy, are you with me in this?"
Percy nodded gravely but felt sick inside. He must find some way to contact his father and tell him what was about to happen. He couldn't risk a messenger spell or an owl. He had no idea how quickly Malfoy would want to meet with his son. Perhaps Fudge was right, with the invisibility cloak they did have the advantage and if Malfoy showed up alone he would not hesitate to stun him from behind. If there were others however then they would be faced with a completely different situation but he would still have the advantage. He could perhaps fire off a stunner from under the cloak and still have time to fire again before his position could be discovered. With the Minister also fighting they might just be able to pull this off. Percy's own feelings of aspiration threatened to take over and he had to take a deep breath to calm the adrenaline that had started pumping but he couldn’t help thinking that it would be a notable accomplishment indeed if he could assist the minister in this endeavor.
Suddenly a deep resonating voice rang out from the shelf against the far wall. "Draco!" Fudge turned to Percy and said "This is it. The mirror is on the shelf covered, go and get it while I transform into Draco, but be sure not to remove the cloth." Fudge walked quickly to the emptied corner of his office and picked up a goblet full of a thick viscousy fluid. Percy went to the shelf to retrieve the mirror covered in a rough piece of burlap. Fudge watched him closely out of the corner of his eye and as soon as Percy had retrieved the mirror it seemed to tremble slightly and slipped out of his hands falling to the floor and smashing into dozens of pieces. Fudge smiled faintly but was able to quickly mask his reaction to the jinx he had placed on the mirror. He spun around and dropped the goblet of potion with a look of utter horror on his face. "NO!" Percy was as upset and horrified as the Minister by this accident. "Minister! It just slipped out of my hands, I… Oh my God! I don't believe it! I'm sorry sir, I don't understand it. The thing seemed to shudder a little then it just slipped!" He looked up at the Minister who was just staring at the shards of glass on the floor. "How could you drop it! That was our only chance to catch Malfoy!" The Minister looked up at Percy, fury etched in every line of his face and shouted "Out!" Percy looked stricken and didn't move for a moment then the Minister screamed "Get Out!!!" Percy jumped and darted for the door.
After Percy left Fudge waited for a few minutes to be certain that he was gone then stepped over to the door and locked it. He pulled out his wand and put an Imperturbable Charm on the door so that there was no chance of anyone interrupting or eavesdropping. Once he was satisfied he walked over to the desk and sat down in the very comfortable chair behind the desk and opened a hidden drawer and pulled out a small rectangular mirror. He sat back and looked into the mirror and said in a clear voice "My Lord!"
After a moment the skull white face of Lord Voldemort swam into view. Fudge was smiling and said "The ploy worked my Lord. Weasley was easily fooled by the dropping jinx and believes that he broke the mirror." "Excellent Lucius, now I have other work for you. You must visit the Department of Mysteries. I have it on good authority that ministry Unspeakables are working on two very useful magical devices which you must acquire for me." |

- The name of this chapter is still eluding me so I'll leave it a question mark for now.[/list:u]
Chapter Eighteen ?
"Potter!" Moody growled to the bewilderment of the two wizards with him. Dobby stood transfixed, his gaze darting from the three wizards that had just entered the floor and the general area where Harry crouched under the cloak. Harry reacted instinctively and charged the group blocking his path to the door and escape. This sudden move took Moody by surprise and the others went scrambling when they were suddenly pushed aside by something that they did not see but sensed and heard coming at them.
Artimus fell hard into Moody knocking him down and the warden fell hard against the wall of the central stairwell. This cleared the path to the door of the stairwell and Harry reached out and yanked the door open as his cloak slid down to his shoulders. He spared a quick glance back at the stunned faces of the men; with fear, uncertainty and an almost pleading look of regret etched on his face before charging down the stairs taking them three at a time. The warden looked over at Dobby red-faced and said "You!" but there was a pop and he disappeared from sight.
"After him!" Moody bellowed recovering his feet and limped toward the door. The warden set off the alarm with a flick of his wand as he preceded Moody into the stairwell followed by Artimus. As Harry ran headlong down the staircases as the doors leading to each floor started to open and guards from each cell block came charging out into the stairwell at the sound of the alarm.
The guard who opened the sixth floor door saw Harry's disembodied head pelting toward him and was momentarily shocked so that Harry was able to push him aside and keep making his way down the stairs. Harry quickly pulled the cloak back up over his head as he continued to bolt down the stairs so that he was invisible to the guard on the fifth floor. Unfortunately this guard was a large man and he was blocking the stairwell looking up at the sounds of something approaching. Harry grabbed his wand and quickly shouted "Patrifiscus Totallus!" and the man's arms snapped to his sides and he fell over onto the landing backwards.
A stabbing guilt followed him for he didn't want to curse all of these guards; so as he came closer to the fourth floor he slowed his pace and held his breath as he tried to slip past the guard who was looking upward toward him but also kept looking back toward the open door to his cell block because one of the prisoners on this floor was making a horrible racket.
Harry managed to slip past this guard but heard the unmistakable sounds of pursuit by Moody, the warden and the third wizard. They had reached the guard that Harry had hexed and were getting much closer. Harry kept running down the stairs and stopped before coming in sight of the third floor guard who was looking around uncertainly. Harry plastered himself against the wall and started down toward this man as quickly as he could without making too much noise. The sounds of running and shouting from the floors above helped to mask his passage and he managed to slip past this guard unheard, but as he got just around the corner he tripped on something on the stair and fell heavily into the wall making the guard he had just past start running down the stairs toward him. Harry pushed back from the wall and ran as fast as he could down the stairs to the sounds of the guard from the third floor. The guard on the second floor was also in the middle of the stairwell looking up but he was a smaller man and Harry simply plowed past him knocking him into the wall as he darted past.
By the time Harry made it to the cistern room he was shaking and coughing hard. His heart was pounding against his chest and he made straight for the pipe in the waste basin, which was filling up with wastewater. He started to wriggle his way down the pipe when dirty water started to wash down the pipe with a foul smell that splashed all around his head and face, up his nose and in his mouth. Harry tried to take a deep breath but suddenly the force of the water draining out of the pipe increased tenfold with its volume and he found himself shooting out of the drainage pipe with the prison wastewater. He tumbled out onto the rocks and rolled away from the gushing pipe coughing and sputtering. "Dobby! Where are you?" he called looking frantically around for the little elf. Dobby emerged from behind a large bolder some ten meters to the left with Harry's broom in hand. Harry took hold of his firebolt, threw the invisibility cloak at the elf and yelled "Meet me at the cave!" Then he mounted and kicked off hard shooting straight up into the air.
The strong winds from earlier had grown to near gale force and the sky was shrouded in low black clouds. The storm that the Ferryman had spoken of in the warden's office seemed to have arrived and Harry was finding it extremely difficult to stay on-course. It had not started to rain or worse; snow yet but if that happened before he reached the other side of the firth he would never be able to see to fly. He fumbled in his robes for his wand and quickly pointed it at his glasses and shouted "Impervious".
A strong gust of wind buffeted him and he nearly lost his wand. He quickly pocketed it and looked back at the prison. The West Tower was right behind him and he turned back to the open sea. The warden ran onto the second floor through the open door because he saw Harry through the window behind the guard desk there. He drew out his wand and pointed it at the window opening it then shouted "Stupefy!" Moody saw this and also pointed his wand out the window and shouted "Protego!" deflecting the curse that the warden has sent at Harry fleeing on his broomstick. Moody turned angrily to the warden and shouted, "What are you trying to do, kill the boy? I wanted to find him to bring him back safely. If he falls into that water he'll die you fool!"
Harry never realized how close he came to being knocked off his broom by that curse. Moody had deflected it but only feet from him as he flew off over the torrential waves boiling below him in the firth during the beginning stages of a storm. Harry flew as fast as he possible could go on his firebolt to try and make landfall as quickly as he possible. The wind buffeted him and blew him far of course though he was unaware of this fact. He was growing weaker as the 30 mile and hour winds assaulted him and the fever from pneumonia sapped away his strength. Ice crystals had formed on his hair and around his glasses but mercifully he could still see as the Impervious charm was working on he lenses. Harry's hands were completely numb but he concentrated on gripping his broomstick hard and leaned forward trying to inch as much speed out of it as possible.
After what seemed like hours he saw the dim outline of the mainland on the horizon. He was becoming dangerously weak and sleepy as hypothermia threatened to engulf him. He looked resolutely at the thin line of darkness that told him that the cliff face was ahead and pressed forward.
The wind was whipping the waves near the shore into a foaming froth that splashed dozens of meters into the air. His vision was becoming hazy with fever and numbing cold and suddenly the two enormous spires of jagged rock that were the Duncansby Stacks blocked his path. He was flying directly at them at top speed and was too close to pull up. Relying on his quidditch instincts he spiraled off sharply to the left but his numb fingers slipped from the handle and he nearly fell to the churning waves almost two hundred feet below but as he continued to spiral he was able to grab the handle again.
He was not near the ferry dock at all and would have to fly up the coast for a least a mile to find the cave in the side of the cliff face. It was dark now and Harry was worried that he would not be able to find it. 'Hold on you can make it' he told himself and flew very close to the cliff face to try and identify the cave or at the very least the stairs leading down to the ferry dock but he was barely holding on to consciousness as he flew and nearly hit the cliff face twice. Fever and exhaustion had taken their toll and Harry's mind was becoming as foggy as the freezing air.
Up ahead he saw a dim light that had a flickering quality to it, which seemed quite odd indeed. Somewhere deep in Harry's befuddled mind he felt that this flickering light was important and that he should go to it. As he neared the source of the light he could make out a small person floating halfway down the cliff face. 'What is that?' he thought dimly to himself. 'Why would someone want to stand on the cliff in the dark?' Harry flew closer to the figure and it seemed oddly familiar. It was small with large bat like ears and was peering anxiously out at the churning sea. It turned its head toward Harry and shouted "Harry Potter sir!"
Dobby had lit a fire in the shallow mouth of the cave as a beacon to Harry and was beside himself when Harry landed on the porch of the cave an collapsed. He was freezing and seemed disoriented. Dobby took his broom and stowed it behind a rock just inside the mouth of the cave opening then took Harry by the arm and led him into the cave.
