Kodak moments

Postby Groo » Monday 27 September 2004 2:29:06pm

Ever had those unforgettable moments when you wished you had a camera with you?

This weekend, i went trekking atop a mountain with friends. We reached a sort-of clearing with a peak protruding upwards, and stagnant water trapped in a hollow space below it. one of my friends lazily threw a stone in the water. Suddenly, out of nowhere, we were surrounded by a horde of bees!!! And those little buggers started a sort of chain-reaction which caused all the bees on the peak to hover around the region!!There must have been atleast 10000 of them.

well....we wrapped towels around our faces and ran down the narrow path from the cliff at a speed which would surely have broken some records, and didnt even glance at the valleys by our sides.

heh..i guess i should have stopped to remove a camera, said "smile please" to the bees and snapped a pic, shouldnt it?

Lol... great story... pity you don't have a photo to show us... Now, siriously, it must have been quite a scaring situation...!

I do have a lot of moments I would want to photograph, but it almost never happens! For instance, this usmmer I was crossing the street, but didn't realize the green light was already on. When I finily realized that I could cross, I ran and fall in the road... it wasn't funny at the time, but now I look back and see it actually was funny...

Being chased by 10000 bees is fun????
I won't even do it for a million bucks *shudders*
I would probably end up tripping over some stones and that'll be the end of me

heh..dont worry about the tripping part. i have just discovered a new law of physics based on the observations of myself and 7 others, which is :

When a body is chased by a horde of bees, the body travels at the speed of light

I wish i had a camera when my best friend said our farewells the night before I left for university. It was possibly the most emotional i have ever felt....and me being an emotional person, it was pretty cool

I'm signing under this, Choki  and I also bet the physical laws get a bit different in such situation :-?

Since I've got a digital camera, I carrry it w/ me to all the trips & stuff, but of course I turn it off right before the best moments come. Or, the 20 seconds long movie runs off before the funniest moment of the scene  --> Murphy's laws, not just physics laws

Groo, you're not the only sufferer - on Iceland there is a beautiful lake Myvatn, unfortunatelly the birthplace of nasty insects. A towel around your head comes very handy  and they still attack you :-( I've nearly got mad there. B7C if you escape from them to bus, some 30 insects surely come after you and the chase continues ...
